John Gibbons Thread (+ Venting)

This thread hurts my head. I think sometimes in any business organization a shake up is needed when the org isn't performing. It isn't always fair. Happens all the time in business.

 

This roster makes him a victim of circumstance somewhat.

 

Gibby has made some poor decisions this season but he isn't this Jays team issue. I think of him as replacement level. Kind of a wash.

 

Im thankful he isn't Cito or Buck Martinez.

Yeah part of the reason I defend him so much is that he seems like a really good dude. If he was bad at his job, that's one thing but he's done nothing to deserve the vitriol he gets from s***** Toronto fans.

We are getting closer to my "fire Gibby and go on a 2nd half run" prediction. Just a matter of how long the Fat Greek wants to wait. If he waits too long, he will have wasted a golden opportunity.

 

not the most fearless prediction ... with the starting pitching beginning to look not too shabby (and Norris comin' back up) ... plus Bautista being back in the outfield freeing up the DH slot and 1b for Smoak ... plus Bautista & Edwin's #s likely improving ....plus Travis & Saunders comin' back ... plus a probable deadline deal ... hey maybe they can put out their best lineup more often than not in the 2nd half? (which they've been unable to do even once so far) and so ...
