Goins is probably higher than Pillar because Goins has been patient at the plate and getting walks the past few games whereas Pillar is now hitting short depth popups. It almost seems like Pillar and Goins have switched batting styles (although Pillar has never been patient at the plate he is now getting under the ball instead of swinging through it).

Guess he's just riding the hot hand. Goins has looked good in the past few games, Pillar has been useless and not providing good at bats (I think he had 4 pop ups yesterday?)

Either he's coming back to earth or slumping. We'll see in due time

Long time AA love Wandy Rodriguez DFA'd by Texas. Texas one of the worst teams in baseball against LHP. Valencia for Wandy? Same salary even

If it's the same salary then we can't afford him.

If this picture could somehow be transported to you back in October 2014, how would you have reacted?

and just for a laff during yesterdays game the TV cameras showed standing side by side David Price, T Tuluwitzki, Donaldson and.............Kawsawki.

I thought to myself...what the f*** is David Price doing in that picture!

So this guy pulled up Dickey's velocity in his good/bad starts. Seems like Dickey has added 3 mph to his pitches. Either he fixed his mechanics or whatever injury he has is gone

Maybe I'm remember this incorrectly, but prior to the season, didn't Dickey say some ******** about how he was going to try and slow down his knuckler to get better control of it? If that was the case, maybe he finally realized it wasn't working.

His velo is noticeably up in recent starts, but it rose as the season went on in 2013 as well.

Lots of pitchers see gradual increases in velo as the season progresses.

So apparently Bobcat said on Friday there is interest in Billy Beane for the President position? I'd definetly be on board for that and I'd hope AA would stay on as GM. They could make a pretty good duo. Beane's strengths counter AA's weaknesses pretty well. It'd be awkward with Donaldson which is kinda funny if it were to ever happen.

That is definitely not happening.

For those of you who may or may not be aware.

The Troy Toluwitzski acquisition officially lifted the curse originally place by Shea Hillenbrand.

The curse of the hillenbrand was officially place on July 21, 2006, when he posted on the Jays clubhouse the letters

"the ship is sinking"

The curse was lifted on July 27, 2015, 9 years and 6 days later. How is that official

You see July 27, 2015 was Shea Hillenbrand 40th birthday. I am confident now that success and more success is up ahead.

Didn't you meant to say "FatCat" McCown?

FatCat seems to be in desperation mode with these rumours fighting against Tim and Sid in house ratings wars.

Yeah I knew I read this somewhere, here it is:

http://m.mlb.com/news/article/116794162/slow-down-blue-jays-pitcher-ra-dickey-taking-knuckleball-down-a-notch

He was purposely slowing it down because he thought it would "remain in the zone longer" and improve his command.

Very interesting. Dickey would obviously know what he's tried but if he did increase the velo bc things weren't working he should try and maintain his arm strength through the winter. Maybe get him on that weighted ball program?

I don't know why but watching the cather's mitt in slow motion in that clip freaks me out....I can imagine it being a silent predator hunting prey like in a wildlife documentary.

*ahem* forget I mentioned it.
