And in the Post-season?

The post season is not the immediate problem the SP and LF for a run at the playoffs is and to be honest now may be a good time to pick up a fleet of foot LF that can swing a bat. Big name SP is going to cost to much for no or little return this year so why go big? Detroit, Oakland went big last year and ask them were it got them and they are still s*** and sellers this year. I am not saying don't go get SP but don't sell the Farm.......

I wonder if we will circle back and go for Brandon Barnes, we were interested in him last year and he would be a solid depth addition.

What would you rather see in LF, Barnes or Colabello?

Colabello is replacement level despite having an OPS of .867. Thats how terrible he is in the field. I'd rather have Pompey.

Just for shits and giggles, what do people think about the trade scenario he outlined?

I probably make the deal for Norris, Jimenez, Pentecost and Urena (I'm one of the few people that actually really likes the Hamels contract), and reject the one that involves both Norris and Pompey going the other way.

Although, moving Norris probably bites you in the ass very quickly.

The one with Pentecost and Urena I would do every time, and I don't like Hamels (or Norris for that matter), but that would be a gray deal for us.

Can someone please tell claim to me why we are interested in mike fiers? (Mlbtraderumors)Certainly there are better options out there. I keep hearing that payroll is a issue but wouldn't it be better to not do anything?

Hope the Jays act fast and don't end up with some 3 or 4 type pitcher like we always do.

A solid number 3 would be a big improvement over what we have in the back end of our rotation right now

I'd prefer an ace but you're correct, the back end is horrid right now. Here's hoping AA can get something done.

Because he makes nothing in 2015, will make nothing in 2016, and then will have three years of arbitration after that.

Short version: he's cheap.

Why derp Royals....if they didn't give up their top prospect if probably is a great deal for them

derp because he wrote Cueto traded to *Reds* lol

Anyways I'm happy he got traded to a team not in the AL East, I don't think we were serious about acquiring him

Thanks...didn't pay close attention. I'm on the golf course at the moment.

Here come the "Just hand the World Series to the Royals" comments. I can't wait for some s***** wildcard team to take them out

Jays need a couple moves. If they go all in for a SP, they need to make atleast one more move. Time for Colabello to gtfo.

I hope all the noise surrounding us going after Mike Fiers is just a smokescreen for something bigger. Mike Fiers isn't going to get it done for us, he's not what the Jays need. It's a broken record but we need a true #1, failing that a #2. If AA is spending time, once again, looking at #3-5 type guys then we might as well pack it in and look forward to the offseason when the Jays should have money to spend.
