With all the noise going on, I will be disappointed if the Jays do nothing. With that being said, I also hope they don't do anything stupid.

I got hit with the trade hype train. I was hoping that when I read the Padres rumour about 4 we might hear something by now. I'd be fine with moving Norris, Sanchez and Pompey for Cashner and Ross but I'd want both and not Cashner/Ross +

I really can't see SD moving both Cashner and Ross. Cashner/Kennedy + Venable to the Jays makes sense. It's a good fit with Pompey+ going back to SD. I feel like the jays value years of control and Cashner would be more of an AA target but who knows. Venable makes sense as a stop gap as Saunders should be fully healthy by 2016.

from rotoworld, Rays could be sellers

Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports that the Rays are expected to listen to trade offers for their top relievers.

Topkin thinks it's more likely that the club trades away a reliever than it is they add some much-needed offense. He lists Brad Boxberger, Jake McGee and Kevin Jepsen as possibilities to be dealt, with Jepsen "the most likely to go" and Boxberger "likely to be the most sought after." Boxberger isn't eligible for arbitration until after next season, while McGee and Jepsen could both see their salaries go past $5 million via arbitration in 2016.

Smart move. RP are volatile and s***.

Its like Tbay knows that Relievers can get a good return and you never know what you will get from them year after year....

as I said before, eat Robertson's contract so we don't have to give up anything massive for Samardz

Are you high?

Alex is trying to trade Reyes+bag of dollars and you want Robertson$$

Do we really know that AA is trying to trade Reyes? I mean, Reyes was his guy...

My love for Norris/Hoffman supersedes Robertson's $$$

Robertson and Samardz for two B scrubs and we got a deal.

'because Alex is better that we thought.

The White Sox want to keep Robertson and his contract, though. He's been even better than they expected and moving players in the first season of a four-year deal is bad for business.

According to cbssports, one team who has talked with the whitesox said their price for Shark was 4 players

Not a surprise. Rays can't afford to pay them $5M a year.. especially with the growing albatross of the Longoria deal (due to his declining power and defensive skills, his contract is no longer a steal, and threatens to cripple the franchise long term.), and the fact they may not be in St. Pete in a few years, and may end up in Charlotte, San Antonio, Montreal, or somewhere else.

As I assumed, when the reports of the Jays interest in Carrasco came out, it probably meant that whatever negotiations they'd had were over. If that deal was going to get done, it probably would have been done before we heard about it.

Also not listed--Jaso and DeJesus could be sold off as well according to dingbat SB Nation writer Chris Cotillo:

Basically, the ownership is at a point they feel no new stadium is coming and are trying to clear as much salary as possible to reflect plunging attendance. Heck, I wouldn't be surprised if they entertain offers for Longoria, as his contract is looking less like a steal due to declining offensive skills, although they'd have to be blown away.

#Orioles giving "serious consideration" to becoming sellers, source says. Could mean trades for Chris Davis and Matt Wieters. @FOXSports

If they lose the upcoming series to the Rays, they should sell.
