Wow, why doesn't BA 500 have LaValley...

Yeah, I know we have an organizational philosophy to draft up the middle (C, SS, CF, P), but when you hear that kind of bat speed with comps to Butler with better defense, it gets your attention.

What do you guys think about taking a flier on Karsten Whitson outside of the top 10. Nick from BP said he saw him recently and his stuff looked great again.

What do you think of Greg Deichmann?

Oldest HS guy in the draft I believe. I think he's already 20. Makes me apprehensive. Big time lefty power though, and can stay on the infield.

Not sure if anyone mentioned this before but,

Maybe he won't be too tough of a sign? :D

He just turned 19 a few days ago.

My bad, I was thinking of Varga. Deichman is the second oldest HS guy in the draft among the top 200.

Nick Wells is a prospect that Jonn would like. Uses 'of' as a verb.

Matt Harvey already putting in work

Twins take 4 college pitchers in a row who all will probably be relievers

Yeah they are accelerating their time to contend to 2016 when Buxton and Sano are in the majors

BA:

172. Lane Thomas, OF/SS, Bearden HS, Knoxville, Tenn.

The high school talent is down in Tennessee this year, with Thomas, who played for USA Baseball’s gold medal-winning 18-and-under national team last summer, as a notable exception. Thomas, whose father Mike is a professional drag racer, is a good athlete with a strong build and well-rounded skill set, a plus runner under way with a chance to be a legitimate center fielder. The 5-foot-11, 175-pound Thomas has a quick stroke and the ability to create lots of hard contact, and he could develop average power. He drives the ball primarily to the pull side. Although he has rarely played shortstop this spring, he takes plenty of ground balls and some teams think his skill set plays better in the dirt with his above-average arm and athleticism. Scouts have split views on him depending up on how they view his defensive profile and bat. Some teams value him as high as the third round, while others think he is likely to reach campus at Tennessee.

I like what MLB.com says about Lane. Sounds intriguing.

MLB.com says good stuff about every player! lol.

Callis and Mayo know a lot, but at this point they know much, much less than each team does.

Bautista follows everybody. Hes following a girl from my work who tweeted at me after I said something about Bautista. She doesn't even know who he is.

Haha I know. He follows my brother for some reason. I just can't help but think Bautista is following the draft and followed the wrong guy, since he's already following Hoffman too.

Lane Thomas OF

Thomas has shown good tools across the board this spring. At the plate, Thomas has a quick bat and an advanced approach and has shown the ability to make hard contact consistently. He also has developing power and should grow into more as he matures. Defensively, Thomas has good range in the outfield due to above-average speed and also has a solid arm. Thomas also has great instincts on the basepaths and should be able to steal a decent number of bases in pro ball. Scouts love his makeup and believe that he should improve even more as he physically matures.

Some guy working for Bautista's agency handles both his and Ervin Santana's accounts; it's not really him.

Yeah, when you mention quick bat with advanced approach, and that scouts love his makeup though it stands out a bit.

Regardless who controls it, they're being trolled hard by Matthew Morgan

Are they? Bautista's is basically a spam account lol. I wonder if this Matt Morgan is a draft prospect too.
