I have weak pitching in a couple other teams. Is McKay expected to stay up and is he worth picking up?

 

No clue whether he'll stay up. The numbers in the minors this year are stellar. He only threw ~80 innings last year and is already up to 70 this year, so it's entirely possible he could be on some kind of innings limit (either shutting him down, or moving him to the pen in the near future).

I think we should move this thread to the main forum instead of the off topic one. It's as relevant to that forum as the "Around Baseball" thread is IMO. What do you guys think?

 

Also, what multi-positional fantasy bench guy do you guys like more? Chris Taylor or Marwin Gonzalez? Taylor's statcast is horrible and Marwin's is good. I kind of wonder if Marwin will be an everyday guy though when Rosario comes back. What do you guys think of that?

Yeah Upton. Seems like Votto is just clinging to real fantasy relevance. He’s droppable in certain 5x5 leagues

Howard tagged as a mid rotation starter at best by BA or might have been a BP guy.

 

I'd be chasing the elite upside of Groshans.

Howard is a nice prospect but he's a pitcher who's not too young for his level whereas Groshans is a potential SS/3B monster who's only trending up.

When are players typically available in fantasy leagues after being called up? Is it after they start their first game, after the game is finished, or the next day?

Every league is different. Some of ours allow you to add an unowned player once they reach AA. Some require the player to be put on waivers, etc. For most leagues, it's a manual process, not an automatic one so each league makes different rules.

Jon: What is Cody Bellinger’s value in a dynasty league? I’m looking to compete next year and push in some future depth for present value. Wander Franco + David Dahl + Domingo Santana too low for an initial offer?

 

Brad Johnson: I suppose it depends on league depth. I’d have Wander ahead of Bellinger in my 20+ teamers. So this does seem possible. If it’s a 12 teamer, then you probably have no chance at Bellinger
