Abomination Old-Timey Member Posted March 29, 2019 Posted March 29, 2019 Anyone have any particularly solid team names this year. We were the 'Syndergaardians of the Gonzalaxy' last year (not that Cargo stuck on the roster lol). I'm even happier this year to be 'McClutchen Your Tatis' You mean naming your team after your forum name isn't solid and creative?
jaysblue Old-Timey Member Posted March 30, 2019 Posted March 30, 2019 20 team dynasty league: Khris Davis or Carlos Carrasco?
Spanky__99 Old-Timey Member Posted April 2, 2019 Posted April 2, 2019 You see that drop in the FC by the new owner? She dropped Keuchel, that has to be a mistake. ROFLMAO! We have a female owner in that league now? Dropped Benintendi and Keuchel for DSJ and Festa... they have the league week ending Sunday passed... I'm thinking of legit calling it a day, man.

jays4life19 Old-Timey Member Posted May 7, 2019 Posted May 7, 2019 I traded THE Vlad G Jr today in fantasy.
connorp Old-Timey Member Posted May 7, 2019 Posted May 7, 2019 I traded THE Vlad G Jr today in fantasy. What for? I just sent a very valid offer in bbdl.
jays4life19 Old-Timey Member Posted May 7, 2019 Posted May 7, 2019 What for? I just sent a very valid offer in bbdl. Can't really compare as it's an auction 9 man 5x5 roto. Only 5 keepers this year and Vlad is priced at $ dollars (picked him up last year for 1$ and sat on him the whole year) Anyways i'm in first place by a large margain and i'm getting Mookie Betts, Ken Giles, Josh Donaldson and Gerrit Cole. He's also getting my 3 drops; Chis Archer, Hans Robles, Jesus Aguilar
Terminator Old-Timey Member Posted May 8, 2019 Posted May 8, 2019 Fantasy baseball is nuts in an age where players can make adjustments and improve greatly at any given point in their career. What should we make of Danny Santana? I need a 2B in a 14 team league and Cesar Hernandez, Odor (who I just dropped, partially because he is expensive to keep), Danny Santana and Dozier are on the waiver wire. Am I nuts for considering Santana? Also plays OF which is a plus and I need steals. Looking at his launch angle and stuff he seems to have made some sort of adjustment but how long does that stuff take to stabilize?

His numbers will drop-off in a big way soon IMO. Cesar Hernandez is likely the best bet. He get's on-base at a high clip, and does have some gap power. Plus he's been hot at the plate over the last little while. I think Dozier is done. He's going the way of Dan Uggla with the bat.

jaysblue Old-Timey Member Posted May 17, 2019 Posted May 17, 2019 Is Brian Dozier droppable in a 20-team dynasty league now?

Laika Community Moderator Posted May 17, 2019 Posted May 17, 2019 Is Buster Posey droppable now in a 20-team dynasty league? I dunno about droppable but he's barely better than Kurt Suzuki so I'd be pretty comfortable trading him for a draft pick if I had another C
Daniel Labude Jays Centre Contributor Posted May 18, 2019 Posted May 18, 2019 30 team league I get: Luis Robert Chad Kuhl For Ronald Guzman Trevor Larnach 2020 4th I'm having a hard time pulling the trigger on this
Daniel Labude Jays Centre Contributor Posted May 18, 2019 Posted May 18, 2019 I'm a big fan of Guzman and not sure what to expect from Robert going forward. Is this season a mirage or him finally putting it together in the states

Is this season a mirage or him finally putting it together in the states Why would you be a big fan of Guzmán? I don’t get that at all. I guess you could argue that he’s kind of like Josh Bell a couple years ago but I think he just sucks. Luis Robert is a hot buy. He might be a fantasy stud. Guzmán just might be an average 1B some day...
AintNoThang Verified Member Posted June 30, 2019 Posted June 30, 2019 So I have the following pitchers and I can gain the most points in wins, followed by era and whip: Snell, DeGrom, Morton, Paddack, Treinen, Hand, Giles, Liam Hendricks, Keuchel, Wheeler, Severino, Peacock, Luchessi. The interesting available pitchers are: Fried, Stripling, Mackay, and Greg Holland. Who should I drop, in what order and what order should I pick up? I was thinking dropping Peacock and Keuchel for two of the bunch. Who would you rank highest of the available pitchers?

He's probably just shaking off the rust from not pitching in the bigs for a while and getting no Spring Training. I'd drop Peacock for Stripling and consider picking up McKay or Fried for Lucchesi, the problem with McKay is I'm not sure if the Rays will keep him up for the rest of the year, he might be up and down. Don't pick up Greg Holland, the saves are nice but the ERA is a mirage and he's due for regression I think.

What about dropping Severino? picked him because I heard he was supposed to come back shortly after the all-star break. Now I read that he won't be back until late August. Is McKay or Stripling worth dropping him?

Is McKay or Stripling worth dropping him? I guess it depends where you are in the standings. If you expect to be easily into the playoffs, you might want to hold onto him. If you're scratching and clawing your way in, having a healthy body for the next two months might be more important. I'm obviously assuming this is a redraft, btw.

I have weak pitching in a couple other teams. Is McKay expected to stay up and is he worth picking up?
