For me it has to be Josh Towers.

It was unexplainable how he performed as good as he did the first couple of years as a Jay, but even then it was his W-L record that made him look good as much as anything else. His fastball was impossibly straight and got sent over the skydome fences with regularity. There were many games during that 2006 season where he might as well have just turned around and thrown the ball in the gap instead of wasting the added step of having the batter hit it there.

Honourable mention to Brian Tallet too. He was awful.

Any names that stand out to others over the years?

Towers was the Jays best pitcher in 2005. He was awful in 2006 yes, though for the money he was making, he provided solid value over the 4-5 years he was here as a back of the rotation starter.

I'd say Gustavo Chacin since so many casual fans loved him and thought he was good; when in reality he was extremely lucky and wasn't that talented at all.

Other honourable mentions include: Mike Sirotka, Francisco Cordero, Frank Francisco, Bruce Tallet, J.A. Happ, Esmil Rogers.

Not a fan of Towers either although he did bean A-Rod square on the knee with one of his 85 mph fastballs which knocked him out of a couple of games. So I can't be too upset with him.

I liked Josh Towers. He had no stuff to speak of, but didn't walk anyone and was actually effective as a 5th starter. That 2005 season was magical.

4 WAR in 2005 and had the highest IP total that season. Also, he had the stretch of like 14 or 16 straight quality starts I believe. He was huge for the Jays that season especially with Doc getting injured and Lilly sucking. Towers was fun to watch and he had impeccable control. He worked fast, hardly walked anybody and was someone that was easy to root for.

Also, he was the only Jays pitcher that had the balls to beam A-Rod. Yes it was with an 88mph fastball but who cares. He actually went out there and stood up for his team, which definitely probably demanded a ton of respect from players in the clubhouse.

Probably Jeff Tam. He had one pitch when he was with us: fastball in the dirt.

Al Leiter's departure angered me, especially since he was traded for my all-time fave in Barfield.

Al Leiter. After putting up with all his injuries and his blister problem and finally getting him on track.

The guy bolted as soon as he became a free agent.

Gustavo Chacin. I hated him and everything he stood for.

Don't be that guy. I know you have a bottle of his delicious cologne on your night stand.

Mike Timlin is probably my least favorite.

When I was a kid I always thought he sucked (although looking at his stats in hindsight he wasn't bad). Then later on he pitched for the Sox and the amount of reverence he garnered from Sox fans was a over the top.

And mine will always be Kalvim Escobar. I don't know why but he always gave off a bit of I am an ******* vibe.

Burnett always gave me that vibe and would be on my list.
