Australia is a pretty nice place to live.

Good for Eric Thames. I always liked him as a person, even if he wasn't very good. Im glad he is finding success somewhere and he is getting paid for his success.

Comparing his slashlines to Kawasaki in Japan, it looks like Toritani is comfortably a better hitter.

His career ISO is about .050 points higher and he's hit double digit homers multiple times, while Mune peaked at 4 knocks.

Toritani has been peaking as a guy that walks more than he strikes out. Mune peaked in Japan as a 2:1 K:BB guy.

Batting average similar.

Mune had more impressive SB totals, ~30 vs ~15.

Toritani's career OPS is only 0.060 points higher, but the K/BB might mean that his abilities will translate over a bit better. Kawasaki is a .240/.310/.315 true talent hitter, more or less. If Taratino can hit just .250/.330/.360 or something like that, he could approach being a somewhat average regular assuming he's a good 2B.

Any idea what the defence is? Thats probably one of the biggest things.

Not much info but he's 33 years old and people seem to think that over here he'd be more of a 2B. Guy hasn't missed a game in 10 years though so he's probably another insane rubber stretchy athlete dude like Ichiro.

Every bat out of Asia seems to be left handed.

Another recent comp coming over would be Nori Aoki. Aoki was a much better hitter in Japan.

The age kinda scares me in terms of defense. I mean he is a guy I'd give 1 or 2 million too but what exactly is he looking for? The LH bat would be nice I suppose.

Anyone think that it makes too much sense for the Cubs to trade Starlin Castro to the Mets for a young pitcher? I'd have to think that Castro and Syndergaard would be somewhat close in value. Would set up Russell to come up and play SS and get them a young controllable pitcher that could contribute in 2015. Go get a half decent LF/RF, its a nice lineup and rotation.

1- A. Russell - SS

2- J. Soler - RF

3- A. Rizzo - 1B

4- K. Bryant - 3B

5- J. Baez - 2B

6- A. Alcantara - CF

7- Some LF/RF

8- M. Montero - C

9- Pitcher

SP- J. Lester

SP- J. Arrieta

SP- N. Syndergaard

SP 3-4 - Wood, Hendricks, Wada, Turner, maybe even McCarthy?

Don't forget Cubs also have Hamels, but they do fit as trade partners.

I did forget that! Should be fun to watch them. They were just talking about Melky as a target for the Cubs, which would certainly help their lineup.

Are the Reds about to have a Fire Sale as some now believe! Somebody wake the ninja! Lol

Chapman, Phillips and Cueto? Bam!

What would we have to give Norris,Shanchez,Osuna,Pillar,Jimenez and Romero to ease some of the money we'd have coming back? Too much or not enough? Discuss! :)
