GD Old-Timey Member Posted September 14, 2014 Posted September 14, 2014 I think that's Allen Craig's job. shhhh this is a logic free zone

jaysfan2014 Old-Timey Member Posted September 14, 2014 Posted September 14, 2014 (edited) I think that's Allen Craig's job. With a wrecked foot due to a Lisfranc injury? He'll be lucky to avoid being DFAd if he doesn't improve next season. Since he went to Boston, he's batting .093/.234/.185. It's likely St. Louis felt he'll never be the same player after the Lisfranc injury, so they dumped his contract on an offensively desperate Red Sox team. Edited September 14, 2014 by jaysfan2014
jaysfan2014 Old-Timey Member Posted September 14, 2014 Posted September 14, 2014 Angels headed for 10 straight wins, leading 5-2 to Houston.
burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted September 14, 2014 Posted September 14, 2014 Did you even look at who you're responding to? JaysFan strikes again..
jaysfan2014 Old-Timey Member Posted September 14, 2014 Posted September 14, 2014 Regarding the Angels game, Mike Trout is 3-3, 2 HR, 3 R, 2 RBIs. If Mike Trout doesn't win MVP, the voters are out of their mind. He's turning into this generation's version of Derek Jeter, a face of the franchise and league.. but as an OF with strong power and average.
Abomination Old-Timey Member Posted September 14, 2014 Posted September 14, 2014 Rodney sure loves making things interesting.
GD Old-Timey Member Posted September 14, 2014 Posted September 14, 2014 Alex Gordon because he has the most WAR
Abomination Old-Timey Member Posted September 14, 2014 Posted September 14, 2014 I wouldn't be surprised to see Abreu get quite a few votes.
jaysblue Old-Timey Member Posted September 14, 2014 Posted September 14, 2014 Fernando Rodney is awful. I laughed when the Mariners broadcasters said Rodney has been the best closer in baseball lol. They are such homers. Even when he threw that 3-2 change-up on Moss, they were like only Fernando Rodney has guts to make that pitch.
jaysblue Old-Timey Member Posted September 14, 2014 Posted September 14, 2014 Trout deserves it. I'd also say guys like V-Mart, Brantley, and Abreu will get votes.
GD Old-Timey Member Posted September 14, 2014 Posted September 14, 2014 He also can't steal bases or advance to 3rd on a single. All those little things that don't show up in wOBA. BsR MVP is more than just pure numbers. I don't think the Tigers are where they are without Victor Martinez. Hes been unreal even though hes just a DH. Obviously nobody rivals Trout when it comes to the complete package. And yes Trout is the clear front runner. >"MVP is more than numbers" >Proceeds to say exactly what the numbers say

Are the Angles are where they are without Trout? Are the Blue Jays are where they are without Bautista? Of course not.

TheHurl Site Manager Posted September 14, 2014 Posted September 14, 2014 Travis Snider has actually turned in a solid season. After a HR tonight his wRC+ is up to 116. K-Rate down and hitting much more often to left field. Jays truly tried to make him something he's not. Doesn't hurt that he's got great numbers in very limited PA's against LHP (.979 OPS in 34 PA's) but the Pirates are at least smart enough to not believe he's suddenly able to hit lefties.
RealAccountant Old-Timey Member Posted September 14, 2014 Posted September 14, 2014 Snider's season has been no better than the one he had with the jays where he hit 14 homeruns. Nothings changed he still isn't good enough to replace any of the jays current outfield options

Nothings changed he still isn't good enough to replace any of the jays current outfield options I don't see anyone suggesting such a thing; merely pointing out he has had a decent season as a backup.
xposbrad Verified Member Posted September 14, 2014 Posted September 14, 2014 Anyone hear anything if there is any talk about the Blue Jays having interest in Y. Tomas?

jaysblue Old-Timey Member Posted September 15, 2014 Posted September 15, 2014 Is Aaron Sanchez wearing a suit and bow tie? He got off easy, though he deserves it lol.
