jays4life19 Old-Timey Member Posted September 11, 2014 Posted September 11, 2014 Mariners get 2 runs back. Screw the Astros (and Rangers). Screw Texas, period. http://www.bluejaysmessageboard.com/threads/2952-Scoreboard-Watching-Thread-2014/page33

HERPDERP Old-Timey Member Posted September 11, 2014 Posted September 11, 2014 The one who reported it is a former reporter for fox sports west, so it's not a nobody. also a dallas personality has heard the same thing
TheHurl Site Manager Posted September 11, 2014 Posted September 11, 2014 Marlins are set to make Stanton an offer...this should be interesting to see if this is PR or are they set to make him a legit offer.

When the Marlins get Jose Fernandez back, along with some of their other young arms developing and improving, they will a solid team that could contend in the NL East.

If Washington sexually assaulted a woman reporter Washington should go to jail and nobody should feel sorry for him or have their heart go out to him. Sexual assault is right up there with domestic violence and probably worse.
RealAccountant Old-Timey Member Posted September 11, 2014 Posted September 11, 2014 Sexual assault is right up there with domestic violence and probably worse. Its worse to be hurt by some stranger than someone you love?

TBJ12 Verified Member Posted September 11, 2014 Posted September 11, 2014 Well, sexual assault while high on cocaine is probably pretty standard stuff... That would be alcohol not cocaine.
burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted September 11, 2014 Posted September 11, 2014 Its worse to be hurt by some stranger than someone you love? I say its worse to be raped by a stranger than to be hit. both are terrible and should result in jail time.

That team is becoming more and more interesting. Their outfield is fantastic (Yelich quietly approaching a 5 WAR season at age 22) and their pitching is looking pretty solid. Cosart was a nice pickup and has pitched well down the stretch for them. Their infield does need some work though, and also I wish they would ditch the neon orange jerseys.

jaysfan2014 Old-Timey Member Posted September 11, 2014 Posted September 11, 2014 Red Sox planning major spending spree: http://www.mlbtraderumors.com/2014/0...#disqus_thread Yeah right.. free agents will choose teams that are championship or up and coming contenders(Tigers, Angels, Mariners, Nats, O's, Dodgers, Giants, Yankees, Cubs, White Sox, etc), not this Red Sox team which is projected to finish last again, and really needs a rebuild, especially with David Ortiz expected to retire in the next few years, and no suitable replacement in the system(not Mookie Betts, as he's a leadoff guy, not a #3-#4 hitter)

He addressed the drug issue stating it wasn't that and that it was a family matter. The team wanted him to just take a leave of absence as they want him to come back.
Sammy225 Old-Timey Member Posted September 11, 2014 Posted September 11, 2014 What a s***** year for Texas. Anything that could have gone wrong has gone wrong lol

burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted September 11, 2014 Posted September 11, 2014 Getting a new manager that is someone not named Ron Wasington is good for them. If the report of his sexual assault case is true my guess is the Rangers forced him to resign.
jaysfan2014 Old-Timey Member Posted September 11, 2014 Posted September 11, 2014 Looks like the beginning of the end for the Rays franchise.. they really need to move to the Tampa area ASAP.
burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted September 12, 2014 Posted September 12, 2014 We can hope they move to Montreal. I wonder if that were to happen if management would stay in place or would they all leave. The Rays must be thinking of trading Zorbist now and get as much value as they can.
burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted September 12, 2014 Posted September 12, 2014 Apparently Stanton just got hit in the face with a pitch
burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted September 12, 2014 Posted September 12, 2014 did you see the pitch?
jays4life19 Old-Timey Member Posted September 12, 2014 Posted September 12, 2014 I'm gonna go with no Yeah, man. Jesus.
RealAccountant Old-Timey Member Posted September 12, 2014 Posted September 12, 2014 That's so sad and he was just about to sign a huge deal.
comeon sense Verified Member Posted September 12, 2014 Posted September 12, 2014 Why is this happening so much ? Pitchers used to be able to go high ,and inside corner over the plate, and that would work on the hitter.
jaysfan2014 Old-Timey Member Posted September 12, 2014 Posted September 12, 2014 And if that's not bad enough:
jaysblue Old-Timey Member Posted September 12, 2014 Posted September 12, 2014 I hope he's ok. That's scary.
GeorgiaPeach Verified Member Posted September 12, 2014 Posted September 12, 2014 Hopefully Stanton's okay and recovers. I'd hate to see a Tony Conigliaro situation where an elite player's career is derailed and eventually cut short.
