If they thought Barnes has a higher ceiling than Suggs, and think the player development (which is one of the best in the league) can harness it, then I'm fine with that. I've calmed from my initial reaction and trusting this front office. They deserve the benefit of the doubt.

There’s mechanics to a shot just like there’s mechanics to a swing. Those drills are likely likely intended to determine other things as well, like how they are at creating a shot, etc. Doubt it’s about how many went in the hoop, though that matters somewhat I’m sure

Got nothing for Lowry at the deadline and now have to accept a crappy sign and trade probably. Also only got Gary Trent for Norm and now they overpay him. Raptors FO has been kinda yikes since the championship.

Big assumptions on what you 'think' they could have gotten for Lowry and Norm at the deadline. Most though Trent was a good return.

He seems to have the tools to be solid. Looks like he was productive in 19-20 and then bad last year. This is kind of how the NBA works because you control players for so few years... you need to bet millions on some of them developing. Raps did exactly that with Powell, actually.

He didn't have a great season. But we've seen flashes of very good play. He needs consistency. I think he can give us what Powell did and he's just going into his prime.
