OG, Delon and a expiring, JV?

Giving up both OG and Siakim if Leonard walks would be pretty brutal.

Giving up OG alone for a year of Kawhi would be a kick in the balls imo, but the Spurs would want more than just him and probably don't do the deal without him included.

The rumors I've seen from a few days ago have suggested either Lowry or DD would be in a deal, but I haven't checked today.

just OG for kawhi would be the easiest move to make

It will likely be a combination of Poeltl, OG, and Delon for Leonard. We have a trade exception that expires tomorrow. But more would be done to make the money work.

The spurs could have had Lowry for just cash last season and never made him an offer, people suggesting they want him now for their superstar is laughable.

Pop would probably murder Derozan by the 3rd pre season game

Demar + OG + 1 other young guy would be perfect. Only thing I'm worried about giving up are unprotected future picks.

The only first they will move is this years. If the other young guy is Poeltl or Delon I do that trade. I don't want to see them part with both OG and Siakam. I think Siakam will be a very good defensive player and if he finds that corner three consistently will be a very good rotation player for a long time.

Perfect for the Spurs? If Kawhi leaves in 1 year, which is very likely, then we're f***ed.

I think Poeltl has a much higher ceiling that Siakam. They're hard to compare though so idk.

we're already gonna be f***ed once Lowry declines/leaves in 2 years.

Sure, so trading away two of your young talented players is obviously the logical way to go then.

none of our young players are even projected to be borderline allstars. Giving up 2 of them plus DD for 1 year of a top 5 player is worth it imo.

Teams will get a little overconfident probably after how the Paul George thing went down

Lowry in two years likely will be on the decline anyways. The Raptors window is pretty much now.

I like Siakam better defensively; Poeltl I believe does have a higher offensive ceiling though. Tough call on both, but I think the Raptors can afford to trade one.

You never know. We've seen Lowry and DeRozan resign with Toronto when we all thought they were jetting as FA's. You never know with Leonard. Once he's here and if he likes it, likes the club, culture, city etc., playing in Toronto is no different than playing basketball in a U.S. city. Masai has been able to keep his big stars in Lowry and DeRozan, so it seems like once players are here in Toronto, there is a possibility of them staying.

The Raptors can afford to trade DeRozan. He's easily replaceable, even long term. I don't believe any of the Raptors young guys will become All-Stars in the future. They will have solid careers and put together solid seasons, though I doubt they will regret trading 1 or 2 of them.

Carter and Bosh both stayed past their rookie deals as well. The only guy who really left as soon as he could was Tmac, but I dont think that had anything to do with Toronto.

If he's open to staying with Phily I don't see why he wouldnt stay with us.

Tracy McGrady also said he regrets that decision and should have stayed with the Raptors and played along side Vince and tried to do something special.

Lots of athletes regret leaving Toronto. I think Vince said he regretted it. Alomar regretted it. If we trade for Kawhi, he'll play his one year here, go elsewhere, then speak fondly of his time here...

This, and he's an LA boy, he will surely hate -20C weather. Not a chance in hell he resigns if this fake news comes to fruition.

Poeltle was horrible in the playoffs last year. He's a good offensive player but his defense needs some work especially positioning wise. And for as good as a rebounder he is on the offensive glass he's awful on the defensive boards.

Which is why I believe he used the word "ceiling" as in he hasn't hit it yet.

LMFAO:

http://www.espn.com/nba/story/_/id/24113118/lavar-ball-boasts-beat-lebron-james-one-one-says-back-my-heyday-hold-me

"[James is] too weak," Ball, 50, said during the interview, which was published last Thursday. "Back in my heyday, can't nobody hold me. 270 (pounds), benching 500? All I gotta do is back you in, I'll lift all of them up off their feet."

When asked whether there was any video footage from his playing days to validate his boasts, Ball responded, "Don't need no video!"

"[it's] all up here," Ball said, pointing to his head. "You want to see me back in my heyday? I was a bad mama jama. My will to win was too hard. One-on-one, I bet on myself all day."

Ball played one season of Division I college basketball at Washington State, where he averaged 2.2 points and 2.3 rebounds per game in the 1987-88 season.

Even that might be too generous. I think if I'm a GM, I want nothing to do whatsoever with that entire family.

Agreed. f*** that s*** show.

From Summer League:

http://www.espn.com/nba/story/_/id/24104356/nba-summer-league-best-worst-most-surprising-rookies-5-5-debate

[h=3]2. Who was the best veteran you saw at summer league?[/h]Han: The annual "This sophomore is too good for this" award goes to John Collins of the Hawks. It took all of one half of his first game to confirm many people's suspicions he had squeezed every bit of knowledge one can from summer league as he popped and rolled at will. Honorable mentions go to the Lakers' Josh Hart (seemingly a lock for Vegas MVP) and OG Anunoby, who had most asking themselves, "Shouldn't guarding LeBron in the playoffs exempt you from summer league duties?"
