If Lind's numbers are legit, it make you wonder how f***ing bad our previous hitting coach mustve been

Murphy tried to make him a pull hitter, Lind even said so. Murphy is incompetent, period.

Doesn't make Lind look like such a whiner anymore, right? He's proving to everyone that Murphy was a joke... Wonder what Grant thinks of Lind's success under Mottola

Oh Goodness, please don't make me think about that!

Don't worry, we can watch Boni, Izturis, and Kawasaki at 2B this year instead

Leave Kawasaki out of this! <3

Derosa, Boni & Izturis all have less WAR than Aaron Hill has in 10 games (both individually and combined!)

Watching Chris Davis as a dynasty owner brings tears of joy to my eyes on a weekly basis.

I have him in two of my three leagues , doesn't matter my pitching sucks

Actually I think this is a big part of it. Mottola changed Lind's stance and made him more upright and balanced. He's staying on everything well (even against lefties WTF?) and using the whole field. This is the Adam Lind we saw in 2009, but with an even better BB rate.

I love it

With Lawrie's offensive ineptitude it sure has been a Godsend to have Lind in beast mode

Adam Linds mechanics are perfect.""" Unlike the past three years, he's focusing on the art or skill of great hitting.""" Unfortunately some players today only increase their work ethic when there is money on the table, i'm referring to him signing a 3 to 6 year contract in his prime beginning next year. I hate being negative, but I have seen this before the past 20 years, remember V. Wells great year when he was playing for a big contract??? Remember how great his stats were AFTER he got his big contract? I hope Lind helps us get back in the race, but if I was the Jays management, I'd let him sign a big contract with another team next year. BTW, why can't we bring that 30 year old second baseman down in buffalo who is hitting 360 and try him at first base next year? Or later this year if our luck turns bad again. In case you didn't know first base is the easiest position to play at the MLB, its very important tho at the little league level because you have to be able to catch the ball.

The stance was actually changed at ST 2012 but he still had the old trigger and earlier starting swing.

Make that a .419 wOBA for Lind. f***ing crazy.

Question.. With out making myself sound old and out of the loop, what does the lower case w mean? When did OBP get kicked to the curb?

Colby and especially Lind just shut up and listened to Motolla, Rasmus seen what a dif Lind was hitting then got the idea, "Hey man listen to this guy"y (Motolla) You fans DO NOT know what multi millions do to your psyche. Lots of money is great, TOO MUCH KILLS ETC!

In April his BABIP was quite low and he was a hard luck victim with a low BA. His BABIP has been well over .400 since.

It is sustainable btw. When one is talking about 15 - 16 weeks, sure. It's not likely but crazier things have happened.

Lind's approach is crazy good right now and he should maintain it as long as Mottolla is around. The law of averages has to drop his BABIP some, but if this is a magical season,it may not drop much. It's gotten to the point now that every Lind AB is being highly anticipated. This reminds me of the Olerud AB's in '93,(maybe not to the full extent,YET)when we all thought he would possibly tickle .400

If Lind even comes close to hitting .363 this year, the Jays will be playing meaningful games in September.

Rasmus is essentially the same hitter he's always been. He's just hitting a ton of HR. Motolla, Murph... It's all the same.

You're telling me stuff I already know Kirksaw, just saying mate.

Maybe I know that you know but they don't know that you know and I know that you know, you know? Hmmmm, that was funnier in my head I think...

It's amazing how Lind is treating LHP this season. I thought he didn't stand a chance against lefties and at best he could return to his 2009 form, which consisted of solely destroying righties.

But now he's destroying righties and doing well against lefties.

Imagine if we kept Hill? Sigh..

Another thing.

Imagine if we had let Lind and E5 go. Wasn't it no more than two years ago these two were put on waivers? ;/

They wouldn't be the kind of hitters that they are now.

EE + Luis Mercedes + Murphy = Stud

Lind + Mottola = Stud

bring back Snider!! lol

Hill may have never turned it around here. In fact, it took him a while to get going on the road for Arizona. He racked up hits in the desert air where breaking balls flatten and the ball flies off the bat, much like in Vegas. Then came the confidence and the comfort zone...
