Actually I think this is a big part of it. Mottola changed Lind's stance and made him more upright and balanced. He's staying on everything well (even against lefties WTF?) and using the whole field. This is the Adam Lind we saw in 2009, but with an even better BB rate.

Lind's approach is crazy good right now and he should maintain it as long as Mottolla is around. The law of averages has to drop his BABIP some,but if this is a magical season,it may not drop much. It's gotten to the point now that every Lind AB is being highly anticipated. This reminds me of the Olerud AB's in '93,(maybe not to the full extent,YET)when we all thought he would possibly tickle .400

 

If Lind even comes close to hitting .363 this year,the Jays will be playing meaningful games in September.

Rasmus is essentially the same hitter he's always been. He's just hitting a ton of HR. Motolla, Murph... It's all the same.

Hill may have never turned it around here. In fact, it took him a while to get going on the road for Arizona. He racked up hits in the desert air where breaking balls flatten and the ball flies off the bat, much like in Vegas. Then came the confidence and the comfort zone...

Currently, Lind sports a .411 wOBA, 2nd among all 1Bs and ahead of beasts like Joey Votto, Goldschmidt, and Fielder. How the f*** did that happen?
