DuckDuckGose Verified Member Posted July 2, 2013 Posted July 2, 2013 Thanks to the Marlins and the great Loria. Any word on what TEX gave up for the extra cap space?
8D Verified Member Posted July 2, 2013 Posted July 2, 2013 Any word on what TEX gave up for the extra cap space? Probably nothing. Just wanted an excuse to not fully use up their cap space
DuckDuckGose Verified Member Posted July 2, 2013 Posted July 2, 2013 If the MArlins gave up that space without getting something significant back Loria needs to be kicked out of baseball. At some point enough has to be enough, right?
imsorry4beatinU Verified Member Posted July 2, 2013 Posted July 2, 2013 I wished we are as busy as the Rangers. Who is still left that you want the Jays to sign?
DuckDuckGose Verified Member Posted July 2, 2013 Posted July 2, 2013 The Marlins are going to be really good in 2015, so I don't know what could be done. They know what they're doing baseball-wise, all that could happen is the union making them spend more money. Can't even fill the bottom bowl of a brand new ballpark, they have had some good teams but, they are a terribly run organization and not good for baseball in Florida (not the Marlins, Loria).

imsorry4beatinU Verified Member Posted July 2, 2013 Posted July 2, 2013 It's a cap system, no reason to worry. The Rangers just like to get everything done early, while the Blue Jays are being patient but will still fill their cap with players who are just as talented. Most of the good guys are available. In fact, all of BA's top 6 international prospects are still unsigned. Rangers just always sign the sexy names. Blue Jays have been doing that lately and maybe that's why I'm a bit discourage today haha
TwistedLogic Old-Timey Member Posted July 2, 2013 Posted July 2, 2013 In fact, all of BA's top 6 international prospects are still unsigned. Torres (2), Devers (3), Diplan (6), Yrizarri (7) have all signed. BA just hasn't updated their list yet.

WTF! So the Astros trade two bonus pool slots for Jose Altuve 2.0 when they already have Altuve 1.0? lol If AA isn't going to do anything he might as well have just traded some space for Torreyes, who could be our solution to second base in a couple of years.

Two Altuve's is better than just one.
