There are just so many things wrong with this, namely, the fact that you continue to show a complete misunderstanding of the term prospect and how prospects in baseball work, not to mention a complete disregard of BABIP, lol.

Unless you were being sarcastic, which I sincerely hope you were.

#1 prospect = Jim Negrych

I am actually pretty excited about the prospects in the Jays system. Jenkins has come up and pitched well. Negrych is on fire. I didn't even have Ramon Ortiz in my top 10 (#15) and he has come up and been good. I can't wait till D-Mac gets back up.

No way. As soon as you leave the majors for one year, you are then eligible to become a prospect again, sans Ramon Ortiz. It's in the new CBA, look it up.

I don't think you're trolling, I just think you're really stupid and haven't read the CBA

"Determining rookie status:

A player shall be considered a rookie unless, during a previous season or seasons, he has (a) exceeded 130 at-bats or 50 innings pitched in the Major Leagues; or (B) accumulated more than 45 days on the active roster of a Major League club or clubs during the period of 25-player limit (excluding time in the military service and time on the disabled list)."

That is clearly about rookies and doesn't cover prospects at all.

Stroman:

@MStrooo7

I'm going to need everyone to go follow @KPILLAR4! Honestly, the best hitter I have ever witnessed with my own eyes. Lol #BEAST #BlueJays

Well he is one of our top prospects so I can believe this lol.

Well, I still have him below Luis Jimenez, but he's getting up there.

Andy Burns 2-3 HR 1 BB

Pillar 3-4 2B

Lopes finally got a hit YAA 1-4

What do Pillar and Burns have to do to get promoted?

Fuuuuck

With what?

He's apparently having some setbacks with the elbow. I read or heard somewhere that a nerve on his elbow is irritated.

He was one of the guys I, as well as many others, was going to follow closely as he got to AA last year and with a good season could've gone to AAA this year or at least started there next year.

I imagine there's no need in rushing anything.. They will be promoted eventually if they continue to hit like this.

Well, the thing is, they're both considered old for the level they're playing in and they're both showing that they might be too good for said levels, so I figure they should be challenged by being promoted.

I saw where Burns was drafted as a SS and I wonder if they'd give him a look at 2B.

Ugh, this is exactly what I was afraid of. I have high hopes for him, but this doesn't bode well.

Days without notable prospects pitching are depressing.... At least we have Sanchez Norris and Nolin pitching tomorrow

Norris isn't notable anymore...

Stroman debut sunday fap fap fap

You just summed up the Jays' season. Not much to look forward to aside from the few remaining prospects like Sanchez, Stroman, Nolin, Gose (struggling badly) plus the guys in SS ball.

A couple interesting guys in Pillar and Burns as well, they just keep on hitting.

Wait for the all star break in each level, then you'll start to see promotions. Whether or not Burns and Pillar are among them i'm not sure but that's when you'd likely see it happen. Pillar wouldn't be bumping anyone worth keeping around anyways, I think the 3rd OF in Buffalo is Langerhans.

Is there a massive difference in talent level from AA to AAA? Is it comparable to the jump from high A to AA? Thanks.

It's weird looking at the career of Langerahans. I wonder why he got so many chances to play at the major league level... And I wonder now why he just wouldn't hang them up.

Can anyone link me to a scouting report on Andy Burns, I'm intrigued by his potential, seems to have a solid eye at the plate, some pop, some speed, and a decent hit tool. I'm wondering what his potential is defensively.

Not that massive, no.

He's probably better suited to 2nd or 3rd, I don't think he sticks at SS.

Yup, more likely 2nd though, IMO, too slow to be at 3rd base.

It may have more to do with need than anything else, but the guy played SS in college, I would think he could play a good 2B. I do wonder why they haven't tried him at 2B given the gaping hole at the ML level

Probably cause shortstops who can stick are much more valuable? Burns may not stick at SS, but they'll try to keep him there as long as possible.

Isn't he playing 3B this year?
