  2. Give me Ohtani (extended) or give me death
  3. Diaz is a free agent, Bednar you'd have to trade for.
  4. I wonder what kind of coin Taylor Rogers is going to make. I'd like to see him brought in to be the 8th inning lock down lefty.
  5. If the Jays go after Ohtani hopefully they are confident they can get him signed long term. That'll be such a massive cost and a waste for only one year. Probably kiss Kirk, Martinez and Tiedemann good bye if itnhappens.
  6. Reynolds and Bednar would be perfect additions to the Jays roster. Lots of control too, so they would cost a lot to acquire.
  7. Ohtani Manoah Gausman Berrios Stripling Yeah....
  8. Man, I can't even get my hopes up for Ohtani he'd be the perfect fit and he's just wasting away with the Angels.
  9. I doubt it. They pulled the plug on him when he was in AA this season. He'll probably start out in AAA and if he has a "2021 Manoah like" start to his AAA season he probably gets called up if the 5th slot isn't already filled. If it is they probably just let him stay down there until someone starts scuffling or gets injured. He's a lot younger than Manoah was when he started in AAA.
  10. I don't mind him as a depth option, but I really hope they don't give him 400+ PA's again next season.
  11. 92 win team with a pretty good chance they can add at least a couple more wins just from Berrios (1.1 fWAR) and Vladdy (2.8 fWAR) improving even just a little bit. They'll need to find a way to replace Stripling's 3.1 fWAR if he doesn't come back, but other that that I don't see anyone on the roster who is likely to regress a notable amount. No need to panic and tear the thing apart. Just go out and add a high end starting pitcher if you can. Hell, if they can sign a guy like Rodon and then bring back Chicken Strip, this team will be poised to push for 95-100 wins IMO
  12. Back to back 90+ win seasons and fire the GM? Ummm, how about f*** no. lol
  13. None unless some team offers way too much for one.
  14. I wonder if Espinal could be any good in the OF? Leave Merrifield as the full time 2B next year and occasional 1B when Vlad needs rest.
  15. I don't see any big changes or trades coming, nor should there be. 92 win team with the best offense in the AL and with plenty of room for internal growth and a good chance at Vladdy and Berrios improving their fWAR totals even if only by a little bit. They'll also have Merrifield for the full season as well. Who on the roster is likely to see a significant decline in fWAR? I don't see any high risk of player regression anywhere. Hopefully they can add a stud starting pitcher via free agency and roll with: Gausman Manoah UFA pitcher (Rodon/Verlander/etc) Berrios Kikuchi/White (battle for #5 starter) Bullpen was improved at the deadline, and there are some young arms ready to compete as well for bullpen duty, plus Pearson and maybe you even move Kikuchi into a high leverage BP role. He was starting to flourish in that role and talk about swing and miss...he's got that in spades. Romano Bass Garcia Cimber Richards Pop Mayza Merryweather Pearson Hernandez Jeunger Zulueta White/Kikuchi Gage Should be able to build a decent bullpen from that list of relievers.
  16. Jays in 2 Guardians in 3 Cardinals in 2 Mets in 3
  17. Had to look at JRam's second half because I swear he had close to 5 fWAR by mid season or so, and he ended up with 5.9 fWAR. He only had a 104 wRC+ since the all star break. Chappy was 130 wRC+ after the AS break.
  18. lol, I dunno but I'm pretty happy with this team the way the Jays front office built it. Chapman included. It's a 91+ win team that's clinched a playoff spot, and that's with a few notable individual underperformances and not really any glaring individual overperformances and they have pretty much everybody on the roster coming back next season except for Stripling, unless they can get him re-signed. s***, last year we had Semien, Ray and Vladdy all with massive career years, and Semien and Ray were pending free agents. Still ended up tying (and maybe beating) last years win total despite nobody really having a career year this year save for Manoah I guess. In a pretty damn good spot IMO.
  19. Jays did a great job of skull f***ing Red Sox pitching all year. Fun to watch.
  20. Rays lose so the Jays 100% won't have to play them in the Trop in the playoffs.
  21. If Moreno can be moved to OF or 2B, I wouldn't trade any of them unless someone absolutely knocks the Jays FO socks off with an offer they can't refuse. I don't see the point. Jays will be a 90+ win team this year, and that's with Vlad only putting up 3~ fWAR and Berrios only putting up 1~ fWAR. I take the over on both of those next season, and the Jays will likely have a much deeper bullpen as well as a way better 4th OF option in Merrifield for the whole season.
