  1. Maybe give Duffy 5 or 6 strikes next at bat. f***ing **** umps are so f***ing useless
  2. I wonder if there is any chance we don't give up a f*** ton of runs today? Maybe have our first solidly pitched game?
  3. Man would it be nice if Bowden Francis actually turned into something decent for the Jays. He looked cooked last season.
  4. Haha Are you guys telling me that post by Laika wasn't tongue in cheek? I thought for sure he was f***ing around and not serious. We can't really be losing our minds about the rotation (and the multi year outlook lmao) three games into the season can we? It's not like they got their tits lit by the Pirates. The Cards are f***ing good
  5. Yeah thats the month I was thinking of. I remember being hopeful the Jays had unearthed and fixed another Robbie Ray.
  6. Kikuchi looked like an ace for a month or two last season as well. Then he fell apart. Hopefully he stays locked in this time.
  7. Haha. I'm completely relaxed TYVM Just hoping Berrios bounces back. The rotation could be magnificent, a lot of fun to watch and not a drag on the BP.
  8. Sure hope they didn't sign a dud with Berrios. Really need a bounce back season from him. That's a lot of money for just barely above replacement level starting pitching.
  9. I know it's just spring training but FU Rays!
  10. Looking forward to Varsho staring slow as a Jay and listening to the whining about it from simpleton's, and then having that same group of morons point out every time Gurriel/Moreno do anything good in AZ lol
  11. Both the Fernandez's throw heat. If either one of them turn into something it'll be found money.
  12. Hopefully Barriera has a Tiedemann-esque season in 2023 and just tears through the minors with high 90's left handed heat and plus secondaries.
  13. The pitch clock is going to mess with some pitchers for sure, but I think it will help others. Kikuchi might be one of the pitchers it helps. Less time for him to think in between pitches and just get to the mound and go. Probably a good thing for a guy with incredible stuff but a problem with a mental block
  14. Maybe my reading comprehension is lacking but how in the f*** is Senga ranked so high? 35th? He hasn't even pitched an inning of MLB yet.
  15. Yes I'm pretty happy with it. I was hoping they'd nab Cueto (1.1 fWAR projection) but Kikuchi is projected for 0.7 fWAR and has great stuff, I don't see a problem with him as the #5. White is projected for 0.5 fWAR himself. I'm no expert on other teams rotations around the league, but I doubt too many have their 6th SP projecting that well. As for the depth after that, Thompson, Hutchison are certainly solid depth guys and then you high upside lottery tickets like Juenger, Zulueta and Tiedemann all with MLB caliber stuff. Guys like Lawrence and Hatch (who had to pitch for the Jays last season a bit) have been pushed all the way down to at least 9th or 10th on the depth chart it looks like. Not to mention Ryu is hanging around as a wild card mid season acquisition. Not sure how better we reasonably expect it to be. Nobody has 7 or 8 proven MLB caliber starting pitchers at their disposal, that I know of.
  16. Hmmm. Interesting take. I actually love the Jays SP depth this season.
  17. f*** it would have been nice if Bogaerts had taken the Jays offer. Nice to have options after signing a premier player playing a premier position for no acquisition cost besides money. Could move Bo to 2B, could trade him for a nice haul. f***ing Padres and Mets are an abomination. Hopefully neither one of them win a world series with their ridiculously bloated payrolls.
  18. Not to mention Belt will be hitting in a much friendlier hitters park
  19. I read somewhere that despite the Jays lacking left hand relievers, they have some right handers with strong numbers against left handed batters. Someone here probably knows.
  20. I'm reliever greedy. I'd still like to see Britton and/or Reyes brought in somehow. I don't know if either of those guys will get an MLB deal having missed last season, but boy would it be great to get them on MiLB deals with invite to spring training.
  21. Love this. How nice will it be around August when we're all probably clamoring for some bullpen help at the trade deadline, to have Chad f***ing Green waiting in the wings about to return?
  22. I really like this signing.
  23. Manoah had 17 innings pitched at low A, then because of COVID didn't pitch in any games in 2020. Despite that the Jays still placed him in AAA to start 2021 and after only 18 innings he went straight to the bigs. The Jays weren't f***ing around with Tiedemann either last season. Promoted him through three levels at 19 years old, and he dominated at every one of them. If he dominates again to start this season I could easily see the Jays bringing him up by June or so. One big difference though between now and 2021 when they brought Manoah up right away, is the rotation is currently waaaay better on paper than it was back then. But if they have a starter struggling and Tiedemann is dominating, I have no doubt they'll bring him up.
