  1. So with Kikuchi out with a neck strain, Gausman back tonight and Berrios looking stronger lately maybe the Jays can get a roll going into the AS break. Gausman Manoah Castillo Berrios Let's do this Jays
  2. Just need a new prospect named Orelvis Moreno
  3. Missed the game, see Richards struck out the side. Nice Hopefully he's fixed now
  4. Jesus Zulu, Frasso, Tiedemann.... Stay healthy and keep climbing the ladder fellas. Pearson still lurking too. One of these days he might actually stay healthy lol
  5. Thank f*** Seems like a nice guy Awful manager I still can't believe he broke Giles a few years ago. Team is garbage, way out of the race Probably looking to sell a guy like Giles to a contender Moron uses him in 3 straight games less than month from the deadline Breaks him What a dunce
  6. In all seriousness though, they should be trying to get Ohtani if the Angels are willing to trade him. They'll have to give up a lot more than that though, and will have to be willing to extend him at 30 years old on a massive contract
  7. I dont mind to give up two 5 dollar bill for a hundred dollar bill
  8. Extremely frustrating season so far, but progression isn't always linear. The Jays won 91 games last season (2021) and they didn't tear it down until 2018 (JD trade) so it's been 3-4 seasons, not 7. At most it's been 4 seasons, from 2017 (76 wins) to 2021 (91 wins). Yeah they didn't make the playoffs, but they were a 91 win team with a +183 run differential. How many times has a team that good missed the playoffs in the wild card era? That's a pretty quick turn around. Hopefully the lull this season is just a hiccup on their way to true contender status.
  9. Atkins should call up the Angels and offer them our entire prospect pool for Trout and Ohtani lol
  10. I've been fully petitioning for them let Castillo start some games with Gausman out, but they kept pitching their AAA trash instead. Now that they will finally give him a go I'm expecting him to get slaughtered lol That's how this season seems to be going.
  11. I was excited because they basically had this entire team locked up for this season and next. Now I'm wondering if big changes need to be made.
  12. Jays were 11 games above .500, and in 2nd place in the AL east, they'd just gone 4-1 vs the Red Sox and Rays. Come backer off Gausman's foot. Have gone 1-8 since that happened.
  13. Wow, what a completely useless bunch of ****s this team is. Maybe this young core is not as good as we thought? Too streaky, predictable and easy to game plan against? I dunno, what a disappointment this season has been.
  14. What in the f*** is going on with MLB.com? I go check out the score and it says the Jays won 4-2 in 11 innings. I look at the scoring plays and it says Bo hit a 2 run homer in the top of 11 to win the game off Borucki. Then I go to watch the highlights and it has the Mariners walking it off. What a low down dirty f***ing deal that was to go through.
  15. Yeah, Tiedemann finished with 4.2 IP, 7 K's, 4 hits, 5 walks, 2 HRs, 4 earned runs Not a banner start, hopefully bounces back next week.
  16. Do you know what kind of stuff Braden Scott and Jimmy Burnette have as far as velocity, etc..? Both guys have high K rates, decent xFIP's, are 23/24 years old and were recently promoted to AA. If they have solid stuff and keep performing they might see AAA before the season is over.
  17. I'd rather not gut the farm system any more, at least not for a starting pitcher that might not move the needle any more than Berrios has. Let's see if Max Castillo has any major league abilities, and let Zulueta, Tiedemann and Frasso work their way up the ladder as far as they can this season. I mean, if a pitcher the caliber of Ohtani gets put on the market you go for it, but a bidding war for Luis Castillo is not something I want the Jays getting into.
  18. Well he's not a bad pitcher. He's been steady all the way up the minor league ladder and is still just 23. Way rather see what he's made of than watch Hatch or Lawrence get predictaby throated. That's all people are saying, no one is anointing him a savior.
  19. Ohtani would be just what the doctor ordered for the Jays, or for a lot of teams I guess. But yeah, the Angels will probably hold onto him. At least him and Trout were never Yankees. I'd rather they waste away in Anaheim than have become Yankees.
  20. Who's saying he's the saviour? He is clearly a better option than Hatch or Lawrence though. Very puzzling decisions the Jays made starting pitching wise this past week.
  21. I wonder if we'll get to watch Giles take the ball and ram it down Montoyo's throat this series
  22. Organizational depth is being severely exposed lately, especially the pitching. Couple of injuries and all you have to trot out there is Lawrence and Hatch, and they predictably get their faces caved in. I mean, they could have used Castillo but for some reason they avoided that. Hopefully Zulueta, Tiedemann and Frasso all pan out as well as some others. If they can all get to AAA/AA and still be looking good, pushing for spots then we might have the org depth to finally weather a couple of injuries here and there. And the fact that they still feel the need to keep giving at bats to Zimmer at this point is mind boggling. Nobody down on the farm that could bet a .460 OPS? That is not a good look for this organization.
  23. Can somebody take Zimmer and shove him up Atkins ass, pull him back out and then shove him up Montoyo's ass?
  24. A couple of the Jays 2021 draft picks (pitchers) have gotten off to decent starts in the Jays system. 23 year old lefty Trenton Wallace has 40.2 innings in A ball - 12.17 K/9 - 2.88 BB/9 - 1.11 ERA - 2.98 xFIP 21 year old lefty Cooper Benson was just promoted to A ball, only has 12.1 innings combined so far - 15.32 K/9 - 2.19 BB/9 - 0.00 ERA - 1.80 xFIP Obviously SSS for Benson, but off to a really nice start. Wouldn't be surprised to see Wallace get bumped up to Vancouver soon given his age
