    Seems like too many Pardihno types in the system that have strong stuff and command but lack velocity. Then most of the high velocity guys that get lots of swing and miss also have really high walk rates lol I guess most systems are filled with these two types. That's why it sucks to see a guy like Frasso get traded because he has the stuff, the velocity and the control. Be interesting to see how he does when the Dodgers bump him up to AA

    lol holy s*** man easy on the hyperbole I think one guy somewhere said Atkins should lose his job if they don't make run this year Haven't seen anyone claim Atkins should be fired for trading Frasso Jays don't have many guys in their system who can hit triple digits and are K-ing 14 guys per 9 innings pitched. Some of us were excited to follow his progression and are disappointed he's now gone.

    It's kind of funny that White has 1.2 fWAR over the last two seasons with just over 100 IP and yet the Dodgers had him tucked away in AAA. Why was he down there anyways? His 0.7 fWAR this season puts him nearly in the lead for fWAR in the Jays pen, Romano has 0.8 fWAR, Garcia and Phelps have 0.7 fWAR

    The Jays added 3 pitchers today with a combined 2.4 fWAR this season and subtracted 3 pitchers with a combined -0.3 fWAR

    The average age in high A is 22.4 years old. Frasso has the 7th best xFIP in the NW league and only 2 of the other top 10 pitchers in that league are younger than he is. I guess time will tell whether or not he's a real prospect.

    Passing off Frasso as a "23 year old pitcher in A ball" is f***ing disingenuous to say the least. He's absolutely f***ing destroying HIGH A ball with an elite repertoire and is probably a **** hair away from jumping to AA which would be his 3rd level this season coming off of TJS. I like the acquisition of White for sure, but I am also disappointed in losing a pitching prospect like Frasso.

    The Jays weren't going to trade their way into being a "top team" like the Yankees or Dodgers today. For that to happen they will need Vlad and Bo to go back to being 6 and 5 fWAR players more than anything else. But make no mistake, this team IS good enough to win the world series right now. Just have to get to the playoffs and be somewhat hot when they get there.

    I liked Castillo. Pretty much our only AAA depth starter this year that is actually good enough to pitch in the MLB and get guys out. But, they brought in White for that role and he's better, plus over the next calendar year we should see some higher upside starters reach AAA and push for MLB roles.

    Gave 'em an A Prices were exorbitant so I'm glad they steered clear of the big names, didn't pick up any rentals either. Only thing I was really upset about was losing Frasso, but I like the player we got for him, White should fill that swing man/spot starter role quite nicely. Might even be more in the future.

    I don't really care that the Jays missed out on all the big names, and I like the players they did add. I'm f***ing pissed about trading Frasso though.

    Hmmm I'd say Atkins did pretty good getting two relievers with a combined 1.7 fWAR and control past this season for a top prospect who is crumbling in AAA this season. Relievers are mostly voodoo though. Hopefully they come to TO and don't fall apart.

    Come on Syndergaard and Iglesias. Should be able to keep all of our top 5 to 10 prospects by taking on that Iglesias contract but we'd still be getting an a very good high leverage arm.

    21 year old left handed SP Cooper Benson continues to cruise through A ball since his return from TJS. 23.1 IP - 15.81 K/9 - 2.31 BB/9 - 1.54 ERA - 2.05 FIP - 1.80 xFIP Leads all Jays minor league pitchers in K-rate and xFIP When he was drafted he was described as having low 90's FB, not sure if he's had an uptick since his surgery and after spending time in the lab at Dunedin
