  1. Nobody seems to be digging Gallo as a possibility for the 3rd/4th OFer?
  2. So it wasn't reported that the Dodgers tried to sign Bellinger after they non-tendered him?
  3. Correct me if I'm wrong but was it not reported that both the Dodgers and Jays tried to sign Bellinger before he ultimately went elsewhere? Then both pivoted to KK?
  4. Sweet Now sign Conforto and Rogers/Chafin FIN
  5. lol I wish you would step back from that ledge, my friend
  6. That baseball trade value site has Jansen/Happ median value set at: Jansen 24.9 Happ 14.9 FWIW
  7. I didn't see anyone do it but the poster I quoted said that people were changing their tunes about Senga
  8. I said I wanted Senga on the Jays, and now that he signed somewhere else I also said f*** him, but I did not change my tune and say I never wanted him anyways.
  9. No point in trading Jansen "for the best starter you can get" Might as well just try to sign one of the free agent starters still available, like Thor, Kluber, Wacha, Stripling or even Manaea as any of those guys are probably better than any starter you get straight up for Jansen IMO
  10. I hope Senga crashes and burns
  11. Is Gallo poised for a bounce back season with the elimination of the shift? Left handed power bat, platoon with Gurriel in LF and do some DHing?
  12. "Jays should have traded for somebody instead..." Oh, yeah? Well, who the f*** is available and what is that team asking for in return? Always love the know it alls who don't actually know anything.
  13. And f*** the Padres and Mets too.
  14. lol f*** I read "Bryan Reynolds to the BlueJays..." And my heart skipped a few beats. Then disappointment.
  15. The bullpen seems to be improving incrementally every season. You're no longer counting on waiver wire pick ups to come in and fill it out, or on Merryweather to be a key high leverage guy. 1. Romano 2. Garcia 3. Swanson 4. Bass 5. Cimber 6. Mayza 7. Pearson 8. Richards 9. Pop 10. Merryweather 11. Gage 12. Thornton Probably going to have one of White or Kikuchi in there too once the Jays bring in another starter. It's not some daunting, frightening bullpen but Trent Thornton pushed that far down is a good thing IMO. Plus I wouldn't be surprised if the Jays FO is trying to bring in another solid BP piece if you believe the rumors they made an offer to Kenley Jansen. If they bring in a guy like Rogers or Kimbrel, and Pearson/Merryweather finally figure it out, that's suddenly a pretty strong BP on paper.
  16. Watch the Yankees reel in Rodon too lol Can't let the Mets out spend them
  17. Yeah sure, but the roster (core) the FO put together was good enough for 90+ wins If they lose in the playoffs that's on the players more than the front office IMO
  18. Probably the most volatile and unpredictable part of a major league roster. Like I said, tough crowd.
  19. Jays FO isn't perfect but I don't understand what some peoples f***en problem is. They pretty quickly built this team back up into a perennial 90+ win team and they did it the toughest division in baseball. Went from 2016 being in the playoffs, to giving it one more go in 2017 and failing. Tearing it down and by 2020 they were back in the wild card game and now have won 91 and 92 games the last two seasons. Tough crowd if you're unhappy with those results.
  20. Well that sucks f***ing ass
  21. Of course they wouldn't trade him for a couple bench players. Good thing that's not what Jansen and Espinal are. WAR last year Jansen 2.6 Espinal 2.3 Lopez 2.8 Projected Jansen 2.8 Espinal 2.4 Lopez 2.8
  22. Other than Rodon, Correa and Swanson there are no more FA's that are worth signing to long term big money deals, so I think the Jays should aim for some pillow contracts. Sign Gallo 1 x $10m Sign Conforto 1 x $12m Sign JBJ 1 x $3m Sign Rogers 2 x $15m ($7.5m AAV) Trade Jansen, Espinal (36.7 TV) to Miami for Lopez (38.7 TV) C Kirk 1B Vlad 2B Merrifield 3B Chapman SS Bo LF Gurriel / Gallo CF Springer RF Conforto DH Rotating Gallo/Gurriel/Springer/Vladdy/Kirk C Moreno OF JBJ UT Biggio BE Spot open for Lopez / Lukes / Barger / Horwitz / T. Morris / some other FA SP Manoah SP Gausman SP Lopez SP Berrios SP Kikuchi CL Romano SU Rogers SU Swanson RP Garcia RP Bass RP Cimber RP Pearson RP White Depth relievers - Mayza, Pop, Richards, Merryweather
  23. Still some interesting relievers out there too. Taylor Rogers Craig Kimbrel Trevor Williams Trevor Rosenthal Andrew Chafin Michael Fulmer Seth Lugo Matt Moore Although I doubt any closers will want to come to TO with Romano here, unless they're OK setting up in high leverage.
  24. Rodon Bassit Eovaldi Manaea Kluber Stripling Wacha Syndergaard Smyly My hope is Senga though Sign one of these guys and I'm ok with the rotation I think. Then trade for an OFer, preferably a capable CFer
  25. Estimated $335 million luxury tax payroll for the Mets lol
