  1. It's a f***ing joke you imbecile. Did you actually think I was serious? SMFH
  2. I said in the other thread it was Mattingly. Career Yankee, what were they thinking. Obvious double agent.
  3. I think it's Mattingly. Godamn Yankee to the core. He's done something to f*** with all the Jays hitters. They had two years of being one of the top offenses in baseball and then they brought him. Crash and burn.
  4. Haha "He needs to do something NOW" "He needs to resign" You're off your rocker. There is lots of baseball left and those type of reactionary moves don't happen in the real world, only in an overly emotional fans mind.
  5. Haha, I love overly emotional fans. Come on buddy, get a grip on yourself.
  6. It's unreal what happened to the Jays offensive players. You go back to 2022, they had one of the top offenses in the league, the bullpen was still a bit weak and the defense was awful. They traded LGJ and Teo to add Swanson and Varsho. On the face of it that should have been just fine, I mean in 2022 they had 9 regulars who were 115 wRC+ or better. As mentioned they traded Teo (130 wRC+) and LGJ (115 wRC+) They still had: Jansen 141 wRC+ Springer 133 wRC+ Vlad 133 wRC+ Bo 130 wRC+ Kirk 129 wRC+ Merrifield 120 wRC+ Chapman 118 wRC+ And they even had Espinal with 100 wRC+ and Biggio with 97 wRC+ Plus they brought in Varsho who had a 107 wRC+ Then in 2023 with one of the best pitching staffs and defense in baseball the same 7 hitters: Bichette 125 wRC+ Vlad 118 wRC+ Jansen 116 wRC+ Chapman 110 wRC+ Springer 104 wRC+ Kirk 96 wRC+ Merrifield 93 wRC+ Then returning depth pieces saw Espinal 80 wRC+, Biggio 103 wRC+ and newly acquired Varsho dropped to 85 wRC+ Every single f***ing one of them dropped dramatically except Biggio who remained around league average. That team should have been a 100 win team but the hitters all forgot how to hit at the exact same time? What gives? And now this year it's getting even worse.
  7. Anybody who says "I wanted a rebuild after 2022" is completely full of s*** and using hindsight to try and make themselves look smart.
  8. Gotta love all these close losses with our "best" hitters at the top of line up rocking sub .700 OPS's Wake up you effing losers.
  9. I mean the dream scenarios for me include.. 1. Somehow Vlad figures it out and goes on a tear, and Bo goes all 2022 on us. Leave the FO with some tough decisions to make next off season. 2. They scrape by and then next off season find a suitor that thinks they can fix Vlad and then trade him and Bo for some prospect capital. Sign Adames to a decent deal and also Soto to a mega deal. Graduate a bunch of the AAA guys an have 2 of 3 of them POP and then carry on with a strong pitching staff and an offense built around Soto, an actual MVP caliber bat.
  10. Let's hope Barger has a Babe Schneider type of start to his career.
  11. lol @ you guys bickering over the made up contract details, the point is thank the maker we don't have a fat 1 WAR first baseman locked up to a mega contract because he broke into the league with a 6 WAR season.
  12. "How many toothpicks Ray?" "246 toothpicks"
  13. Of course we all want that but you have to realize that it's highly unlikely. Every year 100 win teams get their SPI in the playoffs and every once in a while 80 something or 90 win teams win it all. All the FO can do is build a team that makes the playoffs regularly to increase the odds that s*** falls their way at least one year. Look at the Dodgers, 100 win season after 100 win season and only one world series to show for it in the last 10-15 years of ruling baseball regular seasons. Or I guess you don't have to realize it's highly unlikely and instead let it ruin your life and then come to message board to piss and moan about it non stop. Whatever floats boats I guess.
  14. Meh, complainers will find something to complain about even if they win a world series.
  15. Especially when you're 5 foot 3 and 300 pounds and you've gotta pay for all those bags of fudge rounds.
  16. Yeah maybe, but would he have accepted the same contract from the Jays?
  17. Same as the previous off season where the complainers whined about the bullpen all off season and that stupid Atkins wasn't doing anything to improve it and then the bullpen ended up being a strength. Won't stop the complainers from complaining next off season though.
  18. Man is it hard to predict Jays line ups with the plethora of multi-positional players they carry now.
  19. We need patented Danny Jansen and Bo Bichette hot streaks to kick in pronto. I don't have any faith in the fatties anymore.
  20. I can't f***ing believe how bad Kirk is at hitting now. This guy was a hitting machine all the way up the MiLB ladder and into the majors. How in the f*** do you fall off a cliff like that in your early/mid twenties?
  21. So far in AAA this year Barger has 87 innings at 3B and 40 innings in RF. Three games as a DH.
  22. Someone get hurt? He's been playing mostly 3B but could play RF too I suppose. It's Barger time!
  23. I haven't heard a peep about him since he stepped on that bat weeks ago. He hasn't played yet anywhere that I can see so I'm going to say yes he is still hurt.
  24. Except it's not a .500 team. They are on pace 88 wins and it should be 94 wins if the core player this FO was "gifted" from AA could catch a routine throw or hit a baseball more than 15 feet before it touches grass.
