  1. It has certainly left a sour taste in fans mouths, but unfortunately I think the majority of casual fans are (and will be) blaming the front office, and not the mentally challenged 1B who vastly over rates himself.
  2. BOLD predictions? 1. Jays win 100 games 2. Vlad/Bo/Giminez/Varsho/Santander/Kirk all have 3.5+ fWAR and combine for 25-30 fWAR 3. Gausman, Scherzer and Francis all pitch 130+ innings and have ERA's below 3.20 4. Jays have 8 guys hit 20+ bombs (Bo/Vlad/Taters/Kirk/Springer/Varsho/Orelvis/Barger) 5. Springer kicks father time in the nuts, gets hot at the right time and wins ALCS MVP 6. Jays face the D-backs in the WS Okay, hurt me....
  3. So I think what your saying is.....and correct me if I'm wrong, that the Jays could really use 1 or 2 more "big bats"? I looked at your post history, and it's not really clear if you see the lack of another "big bat" or two as a potential issue the Jays may face this season.
  4. Anybody seen these beauties? My favorites are "Anals" "AsHos" and of course "TeTas" lol
  5. Unless Vlad puts up an 8+ WAR season he's in for a rude awakening when he hits the open market IMO
  6. I dunno guys, it has been a whole entire 6 ABs of spring training already, plenty of time to come to a definite conclusion about a player they just signed and completely write him off using a 34 year old DH the Jays signed 8 years ago as a comparison.
  7. There something to be said for the athlete that has a "been there, done that" attitude when it comes to everyday celebrations in sports. Save the big cellys for the big moments. So many attention whores out there these days.
  8. Many, many, many times he said that.
  9. Yeah, if Roden wins AL ROY and Orelvis smacks 20+ dingers I'm gonna be sooo pissed.
  10. Lol my goodness. Go outside. Touch grass. Get a life beyond your Fandom.
  11. Yep, him and his little peanut brain will burn through the ABS appeals in no time. He's always waving for an appeal on the base paths no matter how out he was, thankfully in that situation the bench has to ask for the appeal officially. At the plate though, we're screwed.
  12. I've been saying it for years, he's an all natural talent with a low IQ and unable to make and sustain the proper adjustments he needs to make in order to improve. He doesn't want to "think" he just wants to go and hit and play the game.
  13. Hard to believe folks are mad at the FO for not caving to Vladdy Groundballo Jr's ridiculous contract demands.
  14. I disagree with the ongoing and growing narrative that the Jays have messed the Vlad/Bo situation up. Truth is these are good players but they are not superstars and they have been very inconsistent throughout their careers, and giving them the superstar level contracts they want in order to keep them here could end up being a far worse move long term than just letting them play out the string and see where the chips fall. It's been a struggle for the FO to build a winning team around these two when they're young and relatively cheap, imagine trying to build around them when they are 30+ and carrying superstar price tags.
  15. Nice to see some sense in this thread. The money Vlad is asking for is insane, and people want to chastise the FO for not giving it to him? Life will go on if the overweight 1B who can't play D or base run walks in FA. Sure, when he's on he can hit, but when he's off he brings nothing else to the table.
  16. Kind of funny seeing certain Jays fans freaking out about the Jays not signing Bo or Vlad yet, acting like they have been these amazing core players that the Jays FO should have bent the knee to long ago and given them massive long term deals, and then spend the next 10+ years trying to build around these two as they hit 30 and beyond. It's a struggle to build a winner around these guys while they're young and cheap, never mind what it might be like to do it as they age and have boat anchor contracts.
  17. The Red Sox? Really?? f*** me Like, come on dude
  18. I'd rather the Jays not signing any bench guys IF/OF They have more than enough internal options to fill out a decent bench and it's going to spill over into AAA too. I think they enough guys like this that it'll create healthy competition and one or two of them might actually pop like Schneider did in 2023.
  19. Even if it's true, he likely doesn't want to sign in Toronto and will end up taking a lesser offer from a team he does want to sign with after they increase their offer because of the leverage gained from the Jays offer he doesn't want to accept. Good times.
  20. Trading for Robert would be nice as long as the cost isn't ridiculous. He had a really bad year. His projections are pretty decent though. It'd be nice to get him and then DH Santander most of the time when Varsho returns.
  21. No more big bats left, at least not the kind that can mash 40+ Have to add wins somewhere else. Maybe we get lucky and a guy like Barger or Orelvis fill the big bat void
  22. Now Bregman can sign with the Tigers and the off season will be complete
