  1. Sounds like Pearson wasn't commanding the zone very well in his outing yesterday. That's not very encouraging.
  2. Re-sign Ray Re-sign Semien Sign Syndergaard Trade for Ramirez Sign 2, or even 3 decent to great relievers like Givens, Neris, Graveman, Hudson, Loup, Tepera That'd be one hell of a team.
  3. We have control over those three plus Richards for multiple years still. Also Borucki too and well, Merryweather too I guess but you can't count on that band aid for anything but false hope.
  4. Yeah, I think Ray will re-sign as well. Guys career was in the crapper, and he rejuvenated with the Jays, and he could have left last off season too but chose to stay.
  5. On paper it sounds great, especially now in hindsight, to have sold at the deadline. I think it was the right move though to show the team and the league that if they are in the fight the FO won't pull the rug out from under them. Tough to do that to the players and then have them want to stick around long term. Really sucks that our best all around SP and best (or 2nd best) all around position player are set to be FA's though.
  6. lol Jays just drafted the guy, put him at high A and he's doing great so far. Thought people might find it interesting, not everybody scoreboard watches the prospects. You were on me yesterday for mentioning Stadler too. Not everybody has a 6'9 reliever who throws 101 mph BTW If you don't like my updates, just f***ing ignore them? I dunno
  7. A s***** bullpen combined with a s***** manager. Montardo always gave the s***** and/or cold relievers just enough rope to hang themselves.....and the team in the process.
  8. Hayden Juenger has pitched 8 innings in High A now. 15 Ks 2 walks 0.88 WHIP 0 HRs His ERA sucks though. Despite those great numbers it's 5.62, but his FIP is 1.55 and xFIP 2.98
  9. Have 5 guys with 100+ RBIs
  10. Awesome. I was just watching his stats, had no idea he brought heat like that. He's certainly a thing then if he keeps the walks down.
  11. Holy s*** the Padres are in a free fall too. Got passed by the Reds today and are out of a playoff spot for what's probably the first time this year. Wow.
  12. And just like that the Yankees are 20 games above .500 f*** I hate that goddamn team. Fun watching the Red Sox fall apart though. Bunch of phonies they've been all year. Also funny to see the Mets are suddenly 7 games back of the Braves too. They're done like dinner.
  13. We'll see I guess. His career BB/9 is 3.9, much better. And he hasn't walked a guy in his last 6 outings. The spike in walks earlier this year came with a huge spike in Ks. Lately the walks are down but the Ks are still there, which is why I posted that maybe he's a guy to watch. He certainly hasn't been "s***" though. I'm looking forward to seeing if he can keep it up.
  14. What? 2.07 ERA since May 16th over two levels with 52 Ks in 34.2 innings. Walks are still a touch high, but he's dominating with swing and miss stuff.
  15. I think big ole Fitz Stadler might be a thing. The guy has been incredible after his first few AA appearances this season. He's in AAA now and off to a great start there. Struck out the side in his inning today.
  16. Elvis Luciano was back pitching tonight, after a month off. Gave up one hit and struck out the side in one inning of work for the Fisher Cats
  17. If they keep Dumbtoyo around, they are going to have a hard time keeping or attracting talent. That's the way this is heading.
  18. I don't know how they're going to fix the bullpen this off season. They have a lot of guys coming back, but every one of them has taken their turn getting f***ed up this year at one point. Even Cimber who looked unhittable when he first came over has been getting his s*** pushed in lately. Romano is fairly steady I guess, but even he is outperforming his FIP/xFIP Pouring money into it isn't a guarantee, and you can't make free agents sign with you anyways. Merryweather being healthy would be a nice start, but that's about as likely as $1,000,000 flying out of my arsehole the next time I take a dump. Relievers are weird though. I mean, Aaron Loup and Ryan Tepera are superstars this season.
  19. It's a shame the game even came down Kirk in the top of 8, or the pinch hit in the bottom of 9. Was it 0 for 11 with RISP? Just f***ing terrible. No excuse for that s***.
  20. Charlie sitting there thinking, I'm gonna pinch hit for Kirk here. Get Vakera to bunt the runners over. Then the table will be set for Randal f***ing Grichuk? What...? What a f***ing simpleton.
  21. Sometimes I think Atkins is a genius. But then you watch him trade Riley Adams for a couple months of a negative WAR relief pitcher, and then you remember that he extended Montoyo before spring training even started.
  22. If the FO is going to contiue on with that f***ing retard Montoyo, they are going to have to build the best f***ing bench in the history of baseball, because any piece of s*** you have on that bench is going to get used way too much no matter what.
