  1. Kikuchi pitched like an ace pretty much all of May then went to complete s***, so hopefully he's fixed but jury definitely isn't out yet.
  2. Jeunger made his AAA debut tonight at 21 years of age. Pitched two innings of hitless ball, walked one and struck out two.
  3. If we're talking about the last decade, can't forget 100 miles Giles
  4. f*** the Yankees Hopefully they give up a massive chunk of their farm for rentals and then get swept out of the playoffs
  5. Would anybody here trade Pearson straight up for Bednar if it was offered, or is that just a stupid idea? Bednar only two years older than Pearson and is already established as a quality high leverage closer. Pearson still has the way higher ceiling but can never stay healthy.
  6. I'd love to see the Jays FO finally switch gears and quit tinkering around with the bullpen. Bring in a couple big arms if they're available and start to build a lock it down pen like the big boys. Iglesias and Bednar would be two high leverage, closer types from garbage non playoff teams that might be available.
  7. Could totally get on board with something like that.
  8. Yes, I was hoping they would have signed Iglesias when he was free agent. Who knows, maybe they tried and he didn't want to come to TO, or can't....
  9. Bo is having a s***** year at the plate, but he's still on pace for like what...3 fWAR? If that's the Jays biggest position player weakness/disappointment then we are f***ing laughing.
  10. What do we want Laureano for? Right handed hitting OF who has less fWAR and a lower wRC+ than Springer, Gurriel and Hernandez.
  11. f***ing stupid Angels. Jays need Ohtani man. Of course, if they made him available he probably ends up a Dodger. Or worse, a Yankee
  12. Interesting. His numbers at AA don't jump off the page but they are still being as aggressive promoting him as people thought they would be. Anyone have any updates on his stuff? I know he was mid 90s fastball that touches 98mph with a pretty good slider. Starting to pile up the homegrown arms in the AAA bullpen now. Spraker, Eisert, Ellenbest, Hernandez and now Jeunger. Hernandez been out over a month now though, which sucks ass. I'm also still wondering how long the 6'9 guy that can throw 100mph is going to be out for. Fitz Stadler.
  13. I think Soto turning these offers down is being driven by two things: 1. He doesn't want to stay in Washington 2. Boras' ego
  14. Whoops, I meant to type Tiedemann and Zulu not Teidemann and Frasso in the first sentence.
  15. I think it's possible we'll see both Tiedemann and Frasso in the MLB bullpen this season if they dominate AA, it'll depend on how our bullpen is faring though and what additions they make. Richards looks like a new man, Mayza seems to be getting back to form, Romano is Romano, Garcia has been solid, Cimber is Cimber... We'll see what happens with Pearson, Merryweather and Hernandez who are all injured right now, but all have swing and miss stuff. Then there is guys like Beasley and Gage who are dominating AAA, and other relievers they might want to look at like Spraker, Ellenbest and Eisert. Hopefully when they're done throwing this mud at the wall a bunch of it sticks and looks like a Picasso in the end lol
  16. Wouldn't matter anyways, the Dodgers could trade all 7 of them and next year they'd have 7 more in the top 100
  17. Aggressive for sure given his age. Exciting. Hopefully he just keeps on trucking
  18. Oh yeah here comes the college arms with bat missing abilities
  19. I imagine the Yankees would be fine with that if they had Soto I bet Judge ends up with the Mets next year if he gets to free agency
  20. The Nats can't have Manoah and they'd be idiots to even ask. We can afford to lose Bo because we'd be adding Soto's bat and Espinal is probably a better SS anyways. We can't afford to give up the pitcher who would be starting in 2 games of a 5 game playoff series with nothing coming to replace him. What the f*** would be the point of that?
  21. Bo+ for Soto all day if the Nats will do it You can always take a run at Correa in the off season when he opts out of his deal with the Twins (of course maybe the COVID border BS makes him not an option, Shatkins would know because they probably kicked that tire last off season) Bo, Gurriel, Moreno, pitching prospect for Soto
  22. If the Jays take Rocker do they fast track him to the MLB bullpen this season?
