  1. lol Anybody else starting to s*** their pants now? Top of the order lurking
  2. It's just sad that the Jays have to sign a washed up s*** bag like this just to fill innings. You'd think after 7 years there would be more in the tank when a few pitchers go down to injury.
  3. Surprised they would do this instead of just bringing up Eisert or Hernandez, or even Spraker has looked better lately. I guess they want a veteran guy, and maybe they don't want to throw any of the rookies straight into the fire vs the AL east teams...
  4. Didn't Liam Hendricks take a tour of the Jays Dunedin facility back when he was a free agent? I think the Jays tried pretty hard to sign him, and I bet there were others as well. I want to criticize the Jays FO as much as anyone for the s***** bullpen, but it's hard to justify that when you don't know the whole story of which guys they tried to bring in, how much term/money was offered and the player just wasn't willing to come to TO. I mean, does anybody here really believe the Jays didn't try to sign a guy like Collin McHugh this past off season? If you add Hendricks and McHugh to the Jays bullpen right now, it instantaneously gets bumped up several notches.
  5. The Angels still suck ass and only have 1.5 more years of control over Ohtani. There is an ace AND a power left handed bat
  6. lol Berrios can go f*** off already. Useless f*** What is wrong with these dipshit starting pitchers? How in the actual f*** is Stripling our 2nd best starter in June?
  7. Package him with Groshans, he is blocked everywhere anyways.
  8. Lol it might have something to do with Biggio and his .430ish OBP since returning from AAA. Might want to keep that in the line up somewhere.
  9. Kikuchi is frustrating. I remember reading that his profile read very much like pre CY Robbie Ray and thought man if they can get him fixed how awesome would that be. Then he started slow in April, but appeared to turn the corner in May with an ERA and xFIP in the low 2's. That was exciting thinking our 4th or 5th best starter was capable of pitching like a top of the rotation guy. Then he just f***ing falls apart. Dude needs a psychologist or a sports therapist or something. His problem is the 6 inches between his ears I'm thinking.
  10. Feels like there are plenty of holes in the roster Also feels like they are capable of so much more and could go on a crazy solid run in the second half Weird season so far
  11. This is good to see. His last couple outings were not great, nice that he came back strong this time.
  12. Fair enough. He's 19 yeah, but he's extremely advanced. 30 IP at A 28 IP at A+ Both dominant. I guess we'll see how long it takes for them to bump him up.
  13. What ain't happening with Tiedemann? A promotion to AA? Why not? He roasting A+ right now
  14. Yeah, sub par wasn't a good description, my bad. Very mediocre is more appropriate I guess. Leaves me wanting more, especially with his unspectacular offense this season.
  15. Well s***, he has options? Then send him the f*** down. He can refuse? Well s***, again. It's quite the problem that they need to solve. If Castillo continues to pitch like he did today they can't really justify trotting Kikuchi out there every 5th game anymore.
  16. Kind of sick of Bo and his sub par defense, especially true when he's only bringing a barely above league average bat. If Correa opts out of his contract next off season the Jays need to quit f***ing around go hard after him. If Bo doesn't want to move off short then he can be a trade chip IMO.
  17. How else is he supposed to sort it out?
  18. Nice. Now do that with Tiedemann and then bump Frasso up to A+
  19. Must have been a bad cramp lol It's been almost 3 weeks and still nothing but crickets. they probably said it was a cramp, but more likely something more serious I'm thinking.
  20. Yeah, I kind of agree, the only reason I can see to add a starter like that right now would be to hedge against injuries I guess. Part of me wants them to add a Montas/Castillo type SP, but another part of me would rather they hold onto their bullets so they can make a legit play for a true difference maker should one suddenly become available, like Shohei Ohtani for example. Of course, that's the pie in the sky, unicorn type pipe dream, but if an actual ace SP were to hit the market you'd hate for the Jays to have already blown their wad by adding another Berrios. Guys like Montas and Castillo will be free agents in a year and a half. Wait and try to sign them if you want them down the road, but for now I'm kind of OK rolling with Manoah/Gausman/Berrios plus whichever other starters they have to round out the rotation. Stripling has been solid, Kikuchi might figure it out and be more consistent in a good way, maybe Tiedemann pulls a "Manoah" and is in the Jays rotation by June next year. Or maybe Frasso does.
  21. Highway robbery would mean the Jays gave up something for nothing. They pretty much gave up nothing for nothing in that trade.
  22. Yeah no kidding, I was wondering the same thing. I read that his showcase ended with him getting a hamstring cramp but I really hadn't heard any other news about it and was like three weeks ago now.
  23. I don't see them making any "big" pen acquisitions. They will probably eventually give Hernandez/Eisert a promotion, and aside from that they will make cheap acquisitions for the bullpen.
