  1. I would have preferred dominquez or fisher. Dominquez with a clean inning i feel decent about.
  2. I also feel bad for little. He threw a ton of innings this year and is generally quite wild. It was not fair to him to stick him in a massive spot against guys who mash lefties.
  3. Yea this was not an analytics move. I'm pretty sure Raleigh is also a really good low ball hitter as well. It made no sense.
  4. I'm normally mr don't blame the manager. I usually think they are the lightening rod for the front office.. and most decisions are pretty close to 50/50. However, this is one of the dumbest pitching changes i've ever seen. Little has not been good for an extended period. All three hitters hit lefties well. His rationale also makes zero sense. If looks mattered then don't pitch your high leverage relievers yesterday in a blowout! Like, none of this makes sense. What an insane decision.
  5. I'm so sick of Louis 'great stuff' Varland. Maybe it isn't great stuff.
  6. Announce a leftie as an opener and hope they go more rightie and then put in gausman?
  7. Is there an argument for gausman on short rest tomorrow? And then start yesavage on normal rest if needed game 5?
  8. I trust fisher exponentially more than varland even though he gave up a run. i feel like i want to see varland start just to give him more pitches so guys can't just wait for his s***** four seamer. Like can he throw a sinker?
  9. Pretty much all these guys can pitch tomorrow. No reason not to try to win it tonight.
  10. Can i never hear about this guys 'stuff' again? Dead dead dead straight 100mph fastballs are still dead straight. They can hit that in the f***ing show.
  11. Varland throws so hard but his fastball always seems so hittable to me. I have no idea what Barger was thinking. He really really clearly called for that before sprinting to get it.
  12. On rates and barrels they said he narrows his arsenal in the playoffs as a theory to why he has been worse in the postseason. Also, more a feeling than anything but alot of stuff seems down rather than up, and i feel like a lot of the jays hitters, that suits them.
  13. What difference does it make what inning he pitches in. Its not recency bias, its just who cares what inning he gets his outs in.
  14. Yea that might be a better idea
  15. Actually thinking about this more. If you really wanted to kind of play the numbers and also just get some of the better yankees hitters out of games. game 1 - gausman game 2 varland, then 3 leftie relievers to get the first 15 outs. Then yesavage until the end of the game. The goal is to get them to pinch hit by the time you get to yesavage. If they don't put in lauer instead and make it a full bullpen game. game 3 bieber game 4 lauer or yesavage starts, relieved by bassit game 5 gausman
  16. I want a couple of games where the opener is the opposite handedness of the starter. I'd also go 4 lefties in the pen. So, lauer, little, fluharty, bruil included with maybe rodriguez dropped. Yesavage should be pretty platoon neutral so his day would be him and a ton of lefties.
  17. I'd go Gauman game one. Fluharty opens game two. Two innings. Then Yesavage for hopefully 4 or 5 innings. Bieber game 3. Varland opens game 4. Then Lauer for 3. Game 5 Gausman.
  18. I guess their bullpen is rested so they could have a quick hook on him as well. We also could go tricky and do a bullpen ish day game 2 with maybe an opener in front of yesavage, then bieber game three.
  19. Anyone can beat anyone in a 5 games series but yea i'd much prefer the red sox
  20. Do the yankees go short rest and roll out Fried, Rodon again to start, or do they put Gil in game one?
  21. I hope the padres win this.
  22. Wow tough strike call on boagaerts. Absolutely screwed.
  23. Red sox easily for me. The yankees can legitimately put out 6/7 leftie lineups that mash against our rightie heavy pitching. It just seems like a bad match up. I also just think they are a better team generally.
