Straw is a club option in 2027, so i'm not sure its worth trying to lose that 8 million. Its not enough money to make any real effort imo. If Berrios can hold up as an inning eater in the regular season, then I think he will be fine for at least one year. But yea its a problem after.

We are sitting about 225 projected right now assuming they cut Dillon Tate. That includes projected arb as well. That also includes 16m if Bieber doesn't opt out. If he does, that's 209m so about 46m short of last year's budget. Probably not enough to sign bo and two starters but an increase in budget for this year would not be crazy, you'd think. I'd pitch ownership on a decent increase 2026 and 2027. Money is coming off the books in both years. The berrios, gimenez and hoffman contracts seem like problems on some level. Eye test to me Gimenez always seems like he should be able to hit.

I don't think we can trade for Skubal, we just don't have the bullets. The yankees, dodgers and red sox have better prospects and the red sox could include Duran.

God i hate to say it, but dodgers probably? I'd love to get him. Apparently has a super low release point.

The best case scenario is JoJo Parker starts off red hot and we can pull off a Skubal trade. We need a better farm. The way to get aces is to develop them or trade for them.

Rogers was willing to go over the tax line last year after a losing season. Would they be willing to go way over for one or two more years? Springer and Gausman are off the books after next year. And then a couple more in 2027. I'm not sure what this free agency class looks like but the market might be a tad soft with lockout concerns? It would really help if our farm system was better to make some trades.

I think they had an all time lucky world series honestly. Like everything went their way in tight games.

Yea this one stings but i'm very proud of the team. I gave varland alot of crap but he was a workhorse out there in the playoffs.

If you play a series and you lose two one run games and a two run games where ALL of them needed one ball to land two feet shorter or longer for us to win, and you win none of them, then luck absolutely plays a part .

I honestly don't even want to blame anyone. we outscored them 30-20 in the series. We outplayed them thoroughly. And we just got way less breaks than them in the close games. That's just baseball. It really sticks in my throat that the dodgers with their payroll got all that luck but what are you going to do..

On paper, they have way better starters.

I feel sick from the stress today. I was prepared for a series where we needed some luck to beat the more talented team. I feel like instead we have been on the wrong side of every break. I really hope we can pull through today.

I'm optimistic because we have simply been better and surely the dodgers can't be this lucky again. But its baseball.. anything can happen.

That is who varsho is. He'll strike out. But when he connects he hits it hard. Its a player type and add it to great defense, its very valuable. So, i hope he is here.

I honestly think in this game and in the series in general, we have just got zero luck. We were the better team tonight and their hits just all lined up. game 3 was just terrible management. We've outscored them 30-19. Just a really s***** luck series in general.
