  1. He missed that series with an injury, don’t think he was with them.
  2. What do we view as a successful series here? Taking 3? A split?
  3. Game would have been over with the next batter either way.
  4. No way this happens. Character won't allow it for one and can he even come to Canada?
  5. Fisher only threw 7 pitches and generally speaking appearances are the tax for RPs. Leaving him in might have saved appearances from 2 other relievers. Not a big deal in a one off, but it does and has added up over the course of the season.
  6. They manage scared and it bites them in the ass so frequently and burns arms when it is not needed. IE, this game, they were scared to let Fluharty try to get out of his jam so inexplicably bring in the BP warmup machine to give up a three run homer. They were scared to give Schultz a second inning with a 5 run lead so they burn a Yariel appearance. They are too afraid to give Fisher the leverage he so clearly deserves too.
  7. The reasons he may get an extension are: 1. An unwavering commitment to following the directions of the front office. 2. A willingness to lie down and play dead while the front office throws him under the bus for following those directions when they fail.
  8. Legally even due to amphetamine exemptions. Offense ticking down coincides with Amphetamines being tested for, not Steroids.
  9. It was clearly the man in the white shirt facilitating this /s
  10. 2019 did a disservice to fans when it comes to Vlad. He was a hit over power prospect and that 48 homer year had people thinking he was a huge power bat. That's simply not been his batting profile and while I believe our front office knew that they were unfortunately overruled by ownership resulting in a $500 million dollar contract that isn't going to age well.
  11. So did the Jays with the present day value at 68 million
  12. People on this board hated Romano when he was converting saves at a nearly 90% rate for years going on about how he wasn't dominant. I can't imagine how they feel about Hoffman right now.
  13. Yes, there was quite a bit of coverage when the game happened (before injury was known) where Sale thanked Snitker for giving him the chance at the shutout.
  14. To be fair, that injury had nothing to do with pitch count. It could have just as easily happened on the first pitch of the next game.
  15. Cam Smith or Marcelo Mayer in a dynasty league?
  16. Yet according to Muncy the Padres are not a rival to the Dodgers.
  17. I could see it happening if they got a good starter with more control...not likely but I could see it.
  18. Perhaps the correct move would be Barger at 3B, Clement at 2B and Gimenez to the bench? It would never happen mind you but you could make an argument for it. That brings up a potential idea the front office could have. Would they ship Bo out for a pitcher and move Clement or Gimenez over to short?
  19. This would be awesome. We could piggy back Berrios and Yusei in a game!
  20. Is it second half Vlad or batting third Vlad? Either way, I'll take it!
  21. They traded one subpar year of Teo for him.
  22. I would think a good bullpen and excellent defense helps to win more tight games. The fact they strike out so little and their pen strikes out a lot of players also helps a lot in extra innings.
