  1. Our division is just getting so much better than the Blue Jays. On a different level.
  2. Jazz to Yankees???? Yup, looks like it.
  3. It does make a difference. The Jays can't option him in 2025. That means you have to carry him on the MLB roster. He hasn't shown he has control, and if they do want to compete next year, how can you retain a pitcher like that on the 26 man?? Then if you DFA him in April because he is costing you games, you will get zero, not anyone's 30th ranked org prospect and another dude. You will get nada. Roster management now and in 2025 is a key consideration.
  4. Pearson is not good. You will get more value now than if you have to DFA him in April of 2025.
  5. He has no options next year. Have to keep him on the MLB roster or DFA him if he sucks. You can get more value now at the deadline.
  6. Hope so, BALLS IN I say!!
  7. I would not rely to much on system rankings. Our #2 would probably be #15 in other systems..
  8. Fantrax has Rivera as a FV35, which is about what you would expect for Big Nate.
  9. The Jays FO were assuming they would have an elite pen coming into 2024. That is hindsight. We all observed that there was nothing significant done to the offense in the offseason which was problematic in 2023.
  10. Yohendrick Pinango- OF is one...
  11. If the Jays got Matt Shaw for Pearson, I promise I will run naked across the field at the Rogers center with I love Ross Atkins painted across my butt cheeks.
  12. I would love to pry Triantos from the Cubs. Pearson ain't even getting a call back on that though...
  13. They say it is all due to velocity...
  14. Soto is one of the Unicorn rental players and a Team that was/is struggling with offense. The Jays "brain trust" was a banking on all four veteran starters performing at same level and Manoha coming back solid. I trade Rickey T for Soto (rental) every day of the week and twice on Sundays. RT is not Paul Skeens or the dude on the Nationals at the time... (brain fart on the name).
  15. Kyle Hurt just announced he is having TJ, look at the Dodger's IL list. I will conceded that based on some insinuations by Josh Donaldson and maybe Bo, I have suspicions about position players on the IL. However, I think with pitching, it is cross organizational.
  16. Soto 100 times in a 100 over TINSTAPP
  17. Is it Mike Wilner saying the player coming back has high upside or someone who actually knows what they are talking about?
  18. Nate will not cost the Cubs much, maybe they want some filler.. so they can move other players.
  19. I am leading the charge of the fire Shapiro and Atkins. However, can't blame them for the TJ. I will say, if they had a possibility to beat the Yankee's offer for Soto and they didn't because they didn't want to give up Ricky T, then yea, big f*** up.
  20. That is why I never had Crochet as the number 1 target SP for a playoff team. Even before his agent said that last week he had pitched more than he ever had in his life and huge questions if he would need to be shut down. I think it would need to be a Team that is so far ahead and locked into a playoff spot they could sit him for a while and fire him back up full speed in October, still a high risk.... Hader kinda did the same thing.. But not the same and Hader has cred. Not a good situation and the agent screwed up big time by making it public/letting it get public IMO.
  21. Regardless of return, what’s the point in keeping him?
  22. Rangers not playing D like a WS team tonight. Giving the Jays every opportunity to win this.
  23. I am, maybe it also has to do with it only being on Apple TV.
  24. I actually like Trey Sweeney. I would be onboard
  25. 4 & 2/3rds 5 ER, 98 pitches and he is out.
