    Gray out of the game due to injury prior to 1st pitch. The Rangers are f***ed. They used all their long guys yesterday.

    Trade info was coming out prior to the game ending. Jansen was going out to catch the pitcher as Kirk was getting ready. He might have been used as a PH or gone in the game if an injury etc. If Passan and Rosenthal are announcing finalization of a deal, it is already to the point of 90% done. Not hard to at least get a Khaki to call down and give a heads up...

    You still call down to the club house and they should have pulled him from the game. In any business, it would be the professional thing to do. You don't let an employee hear news like that or about anything significantly work related via the news.

    I know Lesko has been struggleing, but he was a top spec. Good job by the Rays who will probably fix him. Shocked they got Lesko.

    I was reading the comments from three different articles about the trade over on NESN. The Red Sox fans are going ballistic that they traded three prospects for a "s*****" hitting catcher when they are good at both catcher positions. Little do they realize that Danny is a dead pull RHB and will make the Green Monster his bitch. I can't think of any situation better for Jansen to hit in.

    Ha, socialist mindset from me? I am one of the most results oriented poster on this board. I am the guy who rages on the, we made the playoffs eh, good try boys, we will get them next year. It is WS win or bust for me and that is my metric. In the situation we are in, with the deadline on Tuesday, it is much better to get some assets for players who are either going to be FAs or that we are should cut bait with anyway. I'm not sure if we are crossing signals here. I agree the FO is a failure at this point and they need to go. Selling off who they are selling so far is the best way to set the system up for when God willing a new GM takes over in October. What course of action are you recommending at this deadline?? I am lost and you are normally a sensible poster.

    They can’t make the playoffs this year. It is actually more beneficial to finish lower at this point for a better pick.
