  1. Greene just hit a batter. That's gotta hurt.
  2. 93 mph fastball. Looked good.
  3. Wonder which game Chris Smith will be pitching in. Really interested in seeing if all the hype around him is real.
  4. Jeff Beliveau is not having a good day
  5. Unless the Jays go undefeated in Spring Training in which case the hype train on BJMB will be on full force
  6. Giants just hit a walk off home run against the Reds in their first Spring training game
  7. Gleyber Torres just f***ed up the perfect game. And the no-hitter is gone now too.
  8. Phillies are in midseason form already.
  9. Nobody moved when Judge hit that. That was a mammoth shot. Also of note, Matt Holliday looking good as a Yank. I fear he's gonna be a pain for us the entire season. Granted, this is against the Phillies so take everything with a grain of salt.
  10. That makes sense. I just thoughy I read an article on Urena where it was mentioned it was up to the Jays on whether or not to send one of Barreto/Urena Again, it got us Donaldson so it's hard to complain about that trade.
  11. Conforto is absolutely crushing it so far by the way.
  12. Was it up to us to pick one of Barreto/Urena to send to the A's, or did the A's get to pick? Either way, it netted us Donaldson so no reason crying over Barreto. I do wondor why they kept Urena over Barreto however (if in fact we had to choose)
  13. I don't know why Mets are so low on Conforto. He still has a pretty high ceiling and has shown flashes of brilliance in the past despite having a rocky start. I wonder if the Mets would throw in Conforto if we take Bruce and his entire salary for the season in return for someone like Dalton Pompey and maybe 1 other lottery ticket prospect. Probably not, but would love to land Conforto somehow.
  14. I don't quite get the whole playing Smoak thing when there's literally better alternatives on your own team. Optimal everyday lineup would be to have Pearce at 1B and Upton as LF. When Melvin Upton Jr. is the worst player on your lineup, that's not exactly a bad thing. You can do a lot worse than that.
  15. Is there a reason why Angel Pagan hasn't been signed yet? Switch hitter. 112 wRC+ and .358 OBP againts RHP last season should still be valuable even if his defense was terrible. He put up 1.0 WAR last season which is still decent. And not just signed by us, just in general by any team.
  16. Theoretically speaking, I like the idea of a pitch clock to speed up the game. I can't help but think that will increase pitcher injuries a bit considering there will be less recovery time between pitches. Could definitely effect shoulders and elbows
  17. When's usually the best time to buy tickets for Jays in Seattle games?
  18. Pardinho is a beast. I was watching him in a WBC qualifier game. Only 16 and throws heat. And very smooth delivery. Hope we can get him.
  19. Facebook and MLB are in talks to stream a game a week:
  20. That's an insanely good deal for this late into the offseason for a player that's not particularly good. Boras is really good at his job.
  21. Very interested to see the Braves this season. There's some potential there. Swanson, Inciarte, and Freeman are solid core pieces. I could see Kemp, Markakis, Phillips and Garcia all having good seasons as well. They picked up some nice innings eaters in Dickey and Colon. Colon is coming off a solid 2016 campaign and it'll be interesting to see if Dickey can conjure up some of that NL East magic he had with the Mets. I could see them having a slightly above .500 season. Maybe even contend for a wildcard if everything goes right, but that's a bit of a long shot. Either way, I'm excited to see them this season.
  22. MLB.com Top 30 released: http://m.mlb.com/prospects/2017/?list=tor
  23. It's one of the worst in hindsight only because the front office grossly misread the market for 1B/DH types. Granted, I think almost everyone in baseball did. Did anyone really think Edwin would end up signing for 3 years and $65 million? A lot were predicting more than that, and then the market played out the way it did. Looking back, Morales probably could've been had on a 2 year $20 million deal. I thought 3 years at the time was overkill and still do.
  24. It's more Cavan Biggio's swing that's worrying to me.
  25. That swing. Hnnnng. From the reading/listening I've done, lotta people think that Bo Bichette would go high in the first round if the 2016 draft were done over. Also, A+ baseball name.
