  1. Hope he has a rest day and is out of the line up pretty much.
  2. Mickey Moniak in High-A: .257/.272/.321 Hope he didn't spend all of his signing bonus. That might be the only substantial sum of money he ever makes in baseball.
  3. Might be time to move Hiraldo to Bluefiled to join his fellow 2017 signee Pardinho.
  4. http://www.mlbplayers.com/pdf9/5450407.pdf Page 310 section 2.
  5. Also of note: after the slow start to the season, Ryan Noda is hitting .400/.463/.889 in June with 7HR. Seems like he made an adjustment.
  6. Not that more K's or limiting hits is the be all end all when it comes to evaluating pitching prospects, but coming into todays game he had a 4.7 K/9 and 7.9 H/9. That seems low on the K's and high on the hits even for a groundball oriented pitcher. I'm hoping he can make it work in the majors. The good news he seems to really limit homers and walks. Also seems like he can go deep into games because of the groundballs.
  7. Ryan Borucki: 7IP 3H 0ER 1BB 4K. Kevin Smith 1-3 with a HR and a walk. Still raking in High-A.
  8. I don’t know how he has the success he has with such a low k-rate and high H/9, but kid is making it work. It’s not sexy, but it’s effective
  9. It’s a shame Nick Solak is gone from the Yankees. I think we might have been able to get him plus another good piece for Happ.
  10. Fair enough. And if you’re the Yankees, I think you’d much rather give up a package of Clint Frazier and Chance Adams to get someone like a Michael Fulmer. Might as well go all the way instead of paying for a rental.
  11. Does tercet want to place another bet?
  12. Hernandez is slashing .268/.319/.550 for the season now with a 133 OPS+ I still can't believe we got an everyday OF for Francisco Liriano.
  13. I'd much rather do Happ for Clint Frazier straight up. Quality over quantity. I'd even be willing to throw in a Ryan Tepera.
  14. Starting pitching market this deadline is awful. Happ actually may be the best available starter unless the Mets decide to trade DeGrom or Syndergaard. Besides Happ, you're looking at guys like Hamels and Tyson Ross. After getting Teoscar for Liriano and Pannone and Samad Taylor for Joe Smith, I'm pretty confident that whatever trades we make are gonna be pretty good for us.
  15. Clint Frazier. And I wouldn’t mind giving up more to get him either.
  16. Would probably require a little more than a Happ rental to get Frazier, but I wouldn't mind giving up Happ and Tepera for Clint Frazier plus another decent prospect like Dillon Tate.
  17. Average age of pitching he's facing in the MWL is 21.9 and he's 22, so he's facing age appropriate competition. Need to see how he does in A+ or AA to fully judge, but so far not bad for a 15th round pick.
  18. The real question is why he fell as much as he did despite him willing to sign for slot. Wondering if it's a medicals thing.
  19. We'd get absolutely nothing for Martin unless we eat a good chunk of his salary, and at that point I'd rather just keep him so Jansen and McGuire can learn from him. He's probably more valuable to us than anyone else.
  20. Conine and most of the college guys will probably start in Vancouver.
  21. Bichette is hitting .361/.425/.500 in his last 10 games.
  22. Machado not in the lineup tonight against the Red Sox.
  23. Even if we don't trade with them, more demand is always nice to drive up the price.
  24. Angels another suitor for Happ or Estrada if Ohtani is done for the season.
