  1. Hankins over Rocker was basically the consensus before this spring and his injury. He has a superior fastball and breaking stuff when he's healthy. I also prefer his delivery and his mechanics. You can't dismiss the health issues of Hankins though which is why he's as down the board as he is, but everything else being equal, Hankins is the better pitcher.
  2. Hankins > Rocker.
  3. I still can't believe we got this guy for Francisco Liriano.
  4. TJ Zeuch with a good outing: 6IP 5H 2BB 8K 0ER Samad Taylor continues to hit: 3-5 with a stolen base. Could end up being a gem from the Joe Smith trade. So does Lourdes Gurriel Jr: 2-4 for the night.
  5. Russell Martin is our backup catcher.
  6. Bisons game cancelled today and their doubleheader is canceled tomorrow.
  7. Seems a little high on Kershaw. Still the best pitcher when he's healthy, but he's spending more and more time on the DL for his back every season. $135M on Donaldson also seems a little low.
  8. I hope we sign Corbin in the offseason.
  9. McKenzie Gore is making his season debut against the Lugnuts today.
  10. Top to bottom, is this the best our farm system has ever been? Seems well rounded and full of depth event outside Vlad and Bo. Nice to see AAA is finally full of young prospects instead of MLB retreads.
  11. Kind of is given his age and the level he's playing at, but I still like him.
  12. I agree. I was hoping both would start in Dunedin. Hoping for quick promotions for both. Rogers boy is good. I saw him multiple times in Vancouver last season and his AB’s stuck out to me the most. Great eye at the plate has a nice line drive stroke. Good defender at 1st too. Power might not be there yet, but I’m optimistic.
  13. Ryan Noda and Kacy Clemens will be really interesting to follow this season.
  14. Anyone know a good streaming site for all the games, one that would work on iPhone too? Not getting MLB.tv until it goes on sale. Would be much appreciated.
  15. Bisons are gonna be fun this season: OF: Teoscar Hernandez, Anthony Alford, Dalton Pompey, Dwight Smith Jr, Roemon Fields, Jonathan Davis, Harold Ramirez 1B: Rowdy Tellez SS: Richard Urena 2B: Lourdes Gurriel Jr. 3B: Jason Leblebijian C: Danny Jansen, Reese McGuire SP: Ryan Borucki, Chris Rowley, Deck McGuire, Taylor Guerrieri, Thomas Pannone (when he returns) AA will have Bo, Vlad for sure, and probably Cavan Biggio, Max Pentecost, Sean Reid-Foley, TJ Zeuch, Jordan Romano, Francisco Rios, Jon Harris Andrew Case. A+ will probably have the 2017 draftees. Warmoth, Pearson, Clemens, Riley Adams, maybe Samad Taylor.
  16. Nate Pearson's curveball:
  17. Deck McGuire has done well this Spring Training. Wonder if he becomes a factor this season. Shapiro and Atkins on the Indians were really good at scouting pitchers and quite a few times got pitchers in their mid-to-late 20's to become something. Hopefully it's the same with McGuire.
  18. There's more data on him now than there was in his first 46 games. League might've figured him out which is probably why he's been striking out more.
  19. It'll be more than 30% over the course of a full season. It was 37% in September, and that's when he was hot. Imagine him in a slump.
  20. 16 K's in 47 plate appearences this spring. Somebody needs to teach that kid some contact.
  21. Cobb to the O's for 3 years and around $50M according to Rosenthal.
  22. Grichuk or Teoscar Hernandez with 70 hit would be interesting. Both just need to make more contact. Already have good power. They might end up being like Aaron Judge. Still strike out 150-200 times, but will hit a ton of home runs. Walks will also go up since they'll be pitched around. Alford with 70 hit would be awesome too. That would be prime McCutchen.
  23. I like this team a lot. When everything went wrong, we still somehow managed to win 76 games. I think a 10 win improvement with the moves we made is more than feasible, and that'll put us in the middle of it for a wildcard.
