  1. And to think this offensive onslaught is coming without Bo Bichette being available.
  2. At least Michael Kay should be ready to acknowledge that the Jays are a first place team as they are +20 run differential so far in the series.
  3. I wonder if he still thinks the "score at will" Yankees are the better team?
  4. Are position players allowed to pitch in the post season?
  5. Fried is feeling about as good about the state of affairs as Yankees fans.
  6. Looks like the Yankees fans aren't enjoying this very much so far.
  7. OMFG this is easily the most impressive Blue Jays post season start I've seen in my 35+ years of fandom.
  8. Wow Yesavage has brought ace level stuff today.
  9. This team's relentless offense is sending off serious 1993 Blue Jays type of vibes.
  10. I just knew that IKF would be receiving far too many starts as soon as he was added to the roster by the front office. I don't know if it's worse to have IKF start a game or be utilized late in a close game in a pinch hitting role.
  11. I think he should receive serious consideration for manager of the year.
  12. Damn the Jays got a lot of monkeys off their back. From the big game and home run by Vlad, great start from Gausman, and the first playoff victory for this front office this game couldn't have gone any better. Kirk is looking like he's in the midst of becoming a superstar with the home run barrage at crunch time of the season. The bullpen didn't give the Yankees a sniff with Hoffman regularly reaching 97 MPH and the Jays beat up on the Yankees pen in game 1. Let's hope that the team continues to play loose and that they can take 2 more games in this series to move onto the ALCS.
  13. Chisolm has produced excellent defensive metrics at second base so I don't think the Yankees should have any concerns over his defense.
  14. Something to consider is that Schneider's numbers against right handed pitching receive a sizeable boost because he's primarily played against right handed starters that provide more favorable matchups for him. If he played every day against all right handed pitching I strongly suspect the splits would be a lot more even.
  15. I agree with your thoughts that the club most likely didn't particularly enjoy the Bassitt matchup vs the Yankees. This makes sense given how lefty heavy a lineup the Yankees can trot out vs Bassit given his struggles vs left handed hitters.
  16. Schneider mentioned that Bassitt wasn't sufficiently stretched out yet to be available to start in the division series.
  17. Bruihl was dominant against left handed hitters in a small sample of innings after his final callup with a .189 wOBA against and 30.8% strikeout rate. I wanted no part of Scherzer particularly against the Yankees given his inability to avoid big innings and propensity for serving up home runs but I was very surprised that Bassitt wasn't included in some capacity.
  18. You can just tell there will be some sort of unorthodox pitching move that will have Jays 24 and the rest of the casuals up in arms. 😁
  19. There's no romance required here. Bo Bichette has an injured knee ligament and his team has stated that he won't be activated until he's able to be a regular player in the lineup. There's no need for the continuing insinuations that he's not actually injured or could easily play through this injury, it's just exposing you as a complete moron that you choose to continue on this crusade.
