David Peralta officially retired after not playing last season. Career slashline of .278/.335/.448 over parts of 11 seasons, winning one Silver slugger and one gold glove. Peralta was originally signed by the Cards as a lefty pitcher, but was released at age 21 having never reached low A. He reinvented himself as a hitter, ended up raking Indie Ball, was signed by the D'Backs, and made his MLB debut the next season. Easily one of the best Indie League success stories ever

A few more ideas to draw US based ad views: - renew our rivalry with the Orioles Hangout, in order to gaude them into lurking and posting here (under heavy censorship) - encourage Connor to post so that we get several hits per day from various FBI field offices - Strongly imply that we have a team staffer leaking info during ST and we will get several hits a day from the Dunedin facility - encourage thinly veiled anti American off topic posts, such as "why bald eagles suck". They won't be able to help themselves

@Brock Beauchampneed to find the Buffalo Bisons, New Hampshire FisherCats and Dunedin Blue Jays fan bases and get them logging in. We can be the only team that is primarily funded through the minor leagues.

Yeah that's a super uncomfortable situation. They really should have just squashed the notion like you said, and not left it hanging all off season. He's a 39 year old DH who doesn't hit enough to take that position on a team that needs to get serious. You hate to see this happen with a franchise legend, but the self awareness needs to be there.

Donovan is useful enough to just about any team and cheap for the next couple years, you would think they would have no trouble getting a great haul for him. It makes one wonder why that trade hasn't happened yet, maybe their asking price is massive, or maybe they felt they had maximum leverage once Bregman and Bo signed?

If there was a spot available on the 40 man, I'd love to claim Mickey Gasper who was just DFA'd by the Twins. This dude can play catcher (perhaps not overly well) in addition to 1B/2B/3B/LF, and he's a career .303/.406/.512 hitter at AAA. With two options remaining, this would be tremendous depth for Buffalo, he just seems like he was made to be a Buffalo boy
