  1. I didn’t know Vladdy was giving lap dances after games. Good for him though.
  2. Rogers has what everyone wants. f*** you money. Money to waste. I think it’s a large possibility the Jays go over the luxury tax for one Season knowing they have a lot of salary coming off the books next Season. Over $54 million for Gausman + Springer + Garcia alone. I think the Jays coming out of this market with one of the best bats, top end starter, and top end reliever very possible. I don’t think they will get Bo + Tucker + Cease + Diaz but you can make a mathematical case they could get 3 of those 4.
  3. He would be taken first overall if not protected.
  4. They 100% keep Ricky. Should keep Brock. Fine with shedding Cooke. Arias stays but I personally think he’s nothing.
  5. I’m fine with Straw staying on the team as a 5th OF because maybe he can be used in the role he would actually help us in. Which is in pinch running. Far to often late in the Season and in the playoffs when a running situation came up Straw was already in the game for Defense. And a lot of those times it hurt us both in that running situation and when Straws turn came up in the Lineup again. He got 9 World Series at-bats and he didn’t even start a single game. That can’t happen. He could have been the base runner instead of IKF in that controversial out at home plate. Next year in the playoffs I hope they learned that carrying all those pitchers was needless considering they didn’t even want to use Little unless they absolutely had to in the World Series. Having any kind of dedicated pinch runner or pinch hitter option could have made of difference.
  6. George Springer somehow lost Comeback Player of the year to DeGrom lol
  7. Should be noted that he suffers from Raynulds and does impact his ability to pitch in cold weather environments.
  8. I would prefer if the Jays were an the elite K/9 territory if they choose to spend money on Free Agent relief pitching. Devin Williams being at 13 K/9 fits the bill nicely. You really want those swing and miss and zero contact guys late in games. Thats who you pay a premium for.
  9. This happens when you have a really good year. A lot of the coaches you have that aren't in premium positions get plucked. Will see if Mense's message from resonates with the likes of Chapman and Adames. Mense was really popular in the club house. I know Max was close with him.
  10. The most that should be discussed is 3 or 4 years. Obviously there should be interest in bringing him back. Something like 4 years and 50-60 million on the high end.
  11. Pretty sure Vladdy had kids when he was teenager so the ship has sailed on that.
  12. Ken Rosenthal’s blood is boiling at the thought of having to go back to Toronto for the World Series next year.
  13. Also Stephen Vogt has now been a manager for 2 years and has won AL Manager of the Year both years. Maybe someone has won the award back to back before. But how many times has a manager won less games and won 2 years in a row lol.
  14. I'm more annoyed with the gold gloves. I don't know Ernie is nominated for 2 and doesn't get either. How does that even make sense. Kirk also deserved to not only win the Catcher Gold Glove but you could make the case for the Platinum.
  15. He’s a lot more intense and firey than most Japanese pitchers. He even mocked Trevor Bauer’s sword celebration in the game he faced him earlier this Season. I watched that game live. He struck out 17 batters in that game,
  16. I don’t understand why Kwan is talked about like he’s a superstar. He had an .OPS barely over .600 in the second half of the Season.
  17. Rough transition suggests he wants to compete against Yamamoto and not just join a super team.
  18. Good f*** the A's.
  19. God I want this one so bad...
  20. Were still the main attraction. You can't deny that.
  21. Pretty incredible that he had an 11 year career with Independent League stuff. Ultimate pitcher just found a way.
  22. I would glady do this off-season without Murakami. But swap in Schwarber instead and it’s go time.
  23. Massive advantage for the Blue Jays because they just have to outbid which they often do. Boras speaks highly of the Toronto market to his clients. And since he’s being posted he only gets 45 days max. He can’t use his normal tactics to hold out. He’s gotta get his best deal by that date and that’s it. Amai may have his own preferences but he hasn’t been as vocal as the other Japanese free agents about them.
  24. Is he still eligible for the comp pick despite still being classified as a rookie? It says the rookie has to begin the Season on the roster and spend the entire year there. But we haven't seen this scenario with this in place yet.
