Anthony Santander would look really good in a Mets uniform.

Why? He’s only 32 and has elite power hitter and on base threat. He’s in better shape now than he has been at any point in his career. He’s not even fat anymore.

I thought Diaz was dead set on 5 years. The fact that he took 3 years. I’m disappointed the Jays weren’t willing to go to $72-75 million over 3. He probably wanted to be a Dodger ultimately.

Blue Jays front office have made it clear they will no longer accept mediocrity. It's why they booted Berrios out of the rotation and replaced him before even moving him. They lost all confidence in Y-Rod who was great in the first half but was terrible down the strech and in the playoffs so now he will be working his way back from Buffalo regardless of what he makes. I love this new approach. Instead of letting bad contracts rot on your roster you flex your financial muscles and kick them to the curb until they get their s*** together. Absolute power move.

I would say the chances Bastardo is ever on the Blue Jays 26-man roster is less than 1%. He would really have to look dominant in Spring. And coming off his injury I doubt that will happen.

I mean I know lol. He doesn’t have enough service time to refuse outright assignment and elect free agency. It doesn’t get simpler than that. Anyone could have had him but nobody claimed him. Doesn’t matter what contract he signed he isn’t above the service time requirement. You just don’t see teams do this often.

It is wrong. He needs 3 years of service to refuse an outright assignment. He only has 2.

Pretty sure Yariel doesn’t have enough service time to elect free agency. If he gets outrighted pretty sure the Jays can put him in the minors. Good chance we don’t see him again but he could be re-added. They just lot all confidence in him.

I prefer Ernie in the super sub role. But I think he should be playing a lot more Shortstop if Gimenez is the primary Shortstop going forward. I just don't know if you want Gimenez to get 600 at-bats in a Season.

Going to be honest going in the off-season I never even considered Kyle Tucker a possibility for the Blue Jays. Kinda sick they are going after him. He really is a special bat but doesn't get enough credit for the other elements of his game. Especially his base running. He's a legit 30/30 threat.

There's definitely teams who would like him as an innings eater if the Jays are eating 20-30 million of that contract. Whether its straight cash or taking another teams bad contract I think it's very doable and any savings you can get would be considered a win to reallocate those funds that will help this Baseball team.

I wouldn't consider it high risk at all. It's a bargain for a pitcher that projects as well as him on the open market. I mean he could s*** the bed but that's not a contract that will haunt them by any means. Jays have punted worse. Tanner Roark got a higher yearly salary for example lol.

Our board Admin thinks Ponce is going in the pen lol. He had no shortage of suitors if anyone thinks he signed here to pitch out of the pen when almost anywhere he signed he surely starts you're crazy.

Pretty much yes. He was terrible in 2024 in Japan. Went to the KBO added 2 MPH velocity and a sweeper and put up the most statistically dominant seasons in that league. Struck out everyone including an 18 strikeout game. Fun fact be broke Ryu’s record lol.
