  1. Bo seems around right. Maybe a little high. Bassit seems way to high. I think he's looking more like 2/30 or 2/35 he might not even get 2 years. Bieber came back at 16m which I feel is a steal. SirD is whatever. He's somebody elses problem. Max looks right.
  2. They can literally just bury Straw in the minors until they can decline his option. No way should he be the 4th OF over Lukes.
  3. Imanaga gives a metric f*** ton of Homeruns and strikeout rate took a massive nose dive. Not that shocked they wanted out at 3 years. Still think its possible they will qualify him but his contract had a weird set up. I just don’t think he ages overly well.
  4. I hate that Santander exists. I want Kyle Schwarber on this team so bad. Maybe sign him anyway and dump Santander in Philly. Wishful thinking.
  5. He should be where the third base coach is and getting a walking lead down the like. He was very flat footed on contact. Still Varsho needs to hit a fly ball in that situation.
  6. Everyone was confused why they were playing so shallow to begin with. They clearly had to come in with less than 2 outs. But once they had 2 outs they should have returned to normal defense. It’s almost like they forgot and Pages just bailed everyone out.
  7. With so many defensive metrics available publicly more than ever they really need to start showing their work on how they make these decisions. I believe they use metrics to determine the final 3. But coaches and managers vote for the winners. But if that’s the case how do they get it so consistently wrong.
  8. Bo has already sent he wants to be here. So as long as the money is right it should be a done deal. He didn't have to say anything about his future after last nights game but did. So get that deal done and keep Vladdy and Bo together.
  9. Clement nominated for 2 Gold Gloves and doesn’t win either of them. Makes sense… Also Marcus Semien somehow beat out Giminez at Second Base.
  10. If he has some kind of resurgence maybe, Perhaps he actually has been hurt this entire time and can bounce back.
  11. Probably the easiest re-sign as the 5th Starter ever. And we know we can bring him out of the pen in the playoffs.
  12. It's hard to tell because its not exactly a 1 to 1 comparison from moving to Japan to the MLB. But he will be 100 percent in an MLB Rotation wherever he signs. And has high velo and swing and miss stuff. He's also trending upwards. He has been consistently getting better. More strikeouts, less walks every season. His command went from an issue a few years to go to one of this strengths. He's almost cut his walk percentage in half since his first full professional Season in Japan.
  13. I wonder if the Blue Jays running into outs on the bases made IKF more hesitant to take a bigger lead. He also appeared to initially stutter on contact. He definitely didn't get a good jump or even a walking start down the line which also could have made the difference.
  14. They can only sign so many starters. They will still want to try Roki Sasaki back in that role. And they have multiple injured Starters that would probably be in the middle of our rotation. They can’t get everyone.
  15. I think Skubal is more likely to get traded in the off-season over in-season. Depends it they will go anywhere near $350 million which is the current rumoured number. Yankees will probably be prepared to trade anything despite being hesitant in the past but they know they gotta take advantage of Judge’s window right now.
  16. Don’t forget Tatsuya Imai he might be the best of the crop.
  17. IKF sucks but there were numerous chances for the Jays to simply hit a fly ball that wins that game easily. Varsho not being able to get a ball to the Outfield is not being talked about enough. Having a fast pinch runner option may have been the way better roster decision over having a 13th pitcher that didn’t really get used outside the 18 inning game. In hindsight you wish it was Straw who was on the bases. But they seemed reluctant to use Davis Scheneider defensively despite holding his own all year.
  18. I don’t think running it back is going to be sufficient need to bring in atleast one top end starter and some bench and bullpen upgrades at the minimum. You have to choose between Bassit or Max. Can’t have both. Bassit seems like the better choice due to durability and most likely to want to stay. Have to factor in how hard it is going to get back here. The Yankees are going to be healthier and most likely improved. The Rays are a sleeper giant with an incredible lineup. I think they severely under performed this year. The Red Sox and Orioles will very much be in the picture if they improve pitching.
  19. Well going down the list. I don’t think you let Santander from potentially adding an offensive upgrade like a Schwarber for example. Maybe eat some money and send him elsewhere. Try to move on from Straw or bury him in the minors. Think we need to do better as a 4th OF especially considering how they choose to use him. I think you look to trade both Hoffman and Little. Don’t think either can be here next Season after different outcomes. Neither may recover from them. You can let Jiminez and Clase go they are both nothing. Maybe they can get compete for jobs in Spring but with no options they lose all value. Tate and Bruhil can kick rocks or sign minor league deals. Let all pending free agents walk outside of Bichette and Bassit. Re-sign Bo as your Second Baseman for something similar to what Marcus Semien got. Bassit 1 year for 15m. If Bieber declines his option which he most likely will. Offer him a show me contract for 1 year plus an option. Or let him walk if he wants a multi year deal. In free agency go after a power bat Schwarber or Murakami from Japan could fit the bill. Rotate Schwarber through DH, 1B, and LF. Let him hit second infront of Vlad. Imagine Springer, Schwarber, Vladdy, Barger, and Bo coming at you right out of the gates. Think you gotta bring in 2 starters. Framber Valdez might be a little out reach budget wise. But Dylan Cease would be an excellent fit. Also think the Jays should dip back into the Japanese Free Agent market and take a strong run at Tatsuya Amai. But adding a left-handed Starter in general might be something they want to do. They might just let Lauer win his job back in Spring. Look in adding a couple high velo relievers with swing and miss. That would be my wish list. Trim the fat. Improve the bench. Add a power bat. Target a top of the rotation arm. Add swing and miss to the pen. All of it attainable absolutely not. But you have the baseline of a really good team. How much will they go into the tax to improve it is the question.
  20. Personally don't feel the bullet Muncy should have happened. The bunt should have never been taken off. Springer has a much different approach at the plate in that situation if he a runner on third. But yea he ended up striking out in his final 3 at-bats. Giminez moment that will actually stick out to me. Is his ridiculous reaction to thinking they are intentionally throwing at him when the last thing the Dodgers want to do in that situation is put the #9 hitter on base. He literally caused a base clearing brawl that sparked a lifeless Dodger team for no reason. I also really didn't like the use of Shane Bieber in this Baseball game and can't even compare to the Dodgers usage of their starters who are all stuff guys. Bieber being a command and feel guy. There was multiple relievers on the team I would have went to before considering using Bieber. Fisher, Fluharty, Lauer were all there as guys who have done that so many times this year successfully. At the end of day failure to execute by getting a ball to the Outfield is just brutal. Imagine getting that Ernie fly ball in any of those situations with less than 2 outs the game would be over. The defensive positioning of the Dodgers was incredibly stupid on that fly ball to begin with. Its actually insane Pages made that catch.
  21. There is no bright side to losing Game 7 of the World Series.
  22. You just can't strand that many base runners and expect to win. Just to many bad at-bats in crucial situations. You can call it bad luck because there was a lot of hard hit balls. But a lot of those hard hit balls were on the ground.
