  1. Be greatful the team you cheer for goes after all the top free agents.
  2. I can’t imagine many teams interested in giving him 5+ years. We have seen him fall off the map before.
  3. Jays had excellent pitching health this year for the most part. They knew about Max's thumb issue in Spring he tried to pitch through it before they ultimately had him get it right instead. Bowden Francis injury was confusing because he absolutely sucked and it was a blessing in disguise. But we all felt it was one of those phantom injury to get his head right and he ultimately missed the rest of the Season. Obviously in September Bassit went on the IL but apparently it was more related to a conversation he had with the team about trying to get his back healthy for the playoffs because they had a huge division lead at the time and could have pitched through it. Berrios was removed from the rotation and promptly got shelled in a relief outing before they shut him down. Whether he got injured in the outing or he was already pitching hurt is a mystery.
  4. Don't really understand the trade from either perspective... the Orioles unless they really think Grayson isn't healthy need to be adding pitching not subtracting from it. It was pretty obvious that the Angels were going to trade Ward or Adell. But I think if you make this trade you want more of a sure thing in 2026. It could ultimately be the best talent they could have added for Ward but is he healthy enough to give them the Starter they need right now. The Orioles must feel pretty confident they can add pitching via Free Agency but everyone has been waiting for them to do it for seemingly years at this point and it hasn't happened.
  5. I hate this negative mentality. Do know certain teams don't even get a seat at that table and wish they did? The fact that the Jays are in these conversations and maybe just missing out isn't a bad thing. Someone is always going to finish second. When your competing with the Dodgers for Free Agents its a difficult challenge. They have massive pedigree of success. They don't play in a good division like the Blue Jays do and obviously LA has a certain allure to it. It's not just money that keeps the Jays in these conversations. They are impressed by the organization from a presentation perspective, facilities, how they treat families. All these things come into play.
  6. We’re working through some technical difficulties. Everything about his name wants me to type A.
  7. Classic diversion tactic. Drive up this market and scoop in get who you really which is Imai.
  8. Grisham accepting the QO effectively eliminates the Yankees from the off-season. Unless they plan to be a tax team this Season or can find a sucker to take on money.
  9. I wish that dude is getting the king treatment right now.
  10. f*** no to Igleasis. I would rather keep Hoffman the closer and do a couple good Bullpen additions to the price he would cost who I don't think moves the needle at all. I also hate his stupid tattoos. If you want to add a closer this off-season. You're looking into those elite swing and miss and strikeout types. Edwin Diaz or Devin Williams.
  11. I think gruber is just a full blown troll account at this point. I don't believe anyone can actually be as stupid as him and genuinely care about the team to post on a message board about.
  12. He’s good defensively but not much with the bat. But he effectively is replacing IKF so I guess I don’t care that much.
  13. I low key thought Sandlin would be a bigger part of the pen. Injuries suck. Bruihl and Lucas can be dumped at any time. Jiminez and Clase days are likely numbered as well.
  14. I didn’t know Vladdy was giving lap dances after games. Good for him though.
  15. Rogers has what everyone wants. f*** you money. Money to waste. I think it’s a large possibility the Jays go over the luxury tax for one Season knowing they have a lot of salary coming off the books next Season. Over $54 million for Gausman + Springer + Garcia alone. I think the Jays coming out of this market with one of the best bats, top end starter, and top end reliever very possible. I don’t think they will get Bo + Tucker + Cease + Diaz but you can make a mathematical case they could get 3 of those 4.
  16. He would be taken first overall if not protected.
  17. They 100% keep Ricky. Should keep Brock. Fine with shedding Cooke. Arias stays but I personally think he’s nothing.
  18. I’m fine with Straw staying on the team as a 5th OF because maybe he can be used in the role he would actually help us in. Which is in pinch running. Far to often late in the Season and in the playoffs when a running situation came up Straw was already in the game for Defense. And a lot of those times it hurt us both in that running situation and when Straws turn came up in the Lineup again. He got 9 World Series at-bats and he didn’t even start a single game. That can’t happen. He could have been the base runner instead of IKF in that controversial out at home plate. Next year in the playoffs I hope they learned that carrying all those pitchers was needless considering they didn’t even want to use Little unless they absolutely had to in the World Series. Having any kind of dedicated pinch runner or pinch hitter option could have made of difference.
  19. George Springer somehow lost Comeback Player of the year to DeGrom lol
  20. Should be noted that he suffers from Raynulds and does impact his ability to pitch in cold weather environments.
  21. I would prefer if the Jays were an the elite K/9 territory if they choose to spend money on Free Agent relief pitching. Devin Williams being at 13 K/9 fits the bill nicely. You really want those swing and miss and zero contact guys late in games. Thats who you pay a premium for.
  22. This happens when you have a really good year. A lot of the coaches you have that aren't in premium positions get plucked. Will see if Mense's message from resonates with the likes of Chapman and Adames. Mense was really popular in the club house. I know Max was close with him.
  23. The most that should be discussed is 3 or 4 years. Obviously there should be interest in bringing him back. Something like 4 years and 50-60 million on the high end.
  24. Pretty sure Vladdy had kids when he was teenager so the ship has sailed on that.
