    Jays seem like they will pay more to get him to sign less years. Everybody would feel better about 2 years. 2 years and 30 million would be my bet.

    Good he doesn’t deserve that extra money. He had a terrible Season. Maybe this can fuel and motivate him. Hope they tear him apart in an arbitration meeting.

    Jays should be all over Hader and bring back Hicks as well. Considering they don’t let Starters go deep into games. Stack up the Bullpen.

    Espinal is like the world's easiest non tender. Its a slam dunk but they will pay him for some reason.

    I don't think anyone really fears Stroman. He's just a good reliable starter if you can put up with antics and smug attitude. The Jays already hit a metric f*** ton of ground balls. Maybe they will just BABIP him to death. He's not striking Jays out.

    In retrospect both those moves made very little sense. Neither of them improved the roster in any kind of meaningful. I was hoping IKF would atleast mean Espinal is gone but apparently he’s very much still in the plans

    It’s so unbelievably bad right now. More often than not when I check the board its down.

    Dodgers have spent over a Billion dollars on free agent contracts this off-season. There are franchises that won’t spend that in 2 decades.

    Pretty much. Atkins is banking on bounce back Seasons.

    Based on what under performance? Because they appear to be banking a lot on rebound Seasons. So skepticism is fair in that circumstance.

    Soler is a DH so his negative Defense will have zero impact. Joc Pederson is also a horrendous defensive player. And JD Martinez and Hoskins might not even be able to physically play a defensive position. Hoskins was a train wreck at 1B.

    Jorge Soler also hit 48 Homeruns for the Royals. Kauffman Stadium is usually always in the top 10 for being pitchers friendly. Large gaps for more Doubles and Triples though.

    This has been something discussed for years but for whatever reason the person who owns the site doesn’t want to do anything about it. It’s probably just better if they don’t want to give the site to someone. A group of people get together and just make a new board or a discord which would be cheaper. Plenty of times I come to this site just to see the discussions and the board is down. It’s kinda sad.

    Brantley is a fantastic hitter just no confidence he would stay healthy. I don’t take his decision as any disrespect to the Jays. A player to prepare for a Major League season has to make a physical commitment to his body to prepare for a long Season. Its very likely he himself didn’t want to go through that again. Considering all the time he has spent rehabbing the last several years as well. Rehab and training for a physical grind is not easy. You can’t half ass it otherwise you see the results of players who show up out of shape and not prepared to play and compete.

    I mean I would love JD Martinez for 1 year as well. We know he can hit. Hoskins is kind of wild card because he just missed an entire year but he does have power that could explode somewhere. But Joc Pederson is not a guy I have no idea will show up engaged and in shape. Soler just seems like the best option to plug into the lineup and will give us 30-35 Homeruns at that position which we need. He could also occasionally play LF unlike the others.

    Signing Soler to DH might be the only way to salvage this disastrous off-season. This team still has zero Power.

    Bauer returning to the MLB is like the big f*** you to cancel culture professional sports needs right now.

    IKF has never posted an OPS above .682 and just got 15 million for 2 years. Like what the actual f*** are they thinking. A utility infielder is only valuable to me if they can actually add something offensively to a variety of positions in a pinch.
