    Affordable Ace that's 33 doesn't matter when you're going young. You get a prospect haul for next generation. I love Gausman but if the Jays are going to be missing the playoffs he's more valuable as a trade asset. A lot of things hinge on Bichette signing an extension. If you can't sign him to an extension. He needs to be traded. And preferably before his free agent year to get the most value. It's just how business in sports works. Look at the Raptors right now. This disaster scenario is unfolding right now. They lost Fred Van Vleet for nothing. Now they are primed to lose both Pascal Siakam and OG Anunoby for nothing.

    Do or die. They 2.5 games out and in the easiest part of the schedule. Will they respond.

    I still thoroughly believe if the Covid season never happens this roster gets built up differently. They squeaked into the Covid playoffs and it changed the timeline of everything. Our entire future was banked on Bichette and Vlad and putting veterans around them. So far that has yielded zero playoff victories and possibly missing the playoffs 2 of the last 3 years. Would be excited to see them go young bringing up Martinez, Barger, Howritz to pair with Scheneider. Keep building with Varsho and anyone with 3+ years of control. Trade Gausman, Bichette, and Berrios for absolute hauls. Move on from the rest of the veterans. Work on an exciting young core for the next few years and build a sustainable contender. If Bichette walks for nothing in a couple years this franchise is in a lot of trouble. If this group doesn’t work out you gotta change in the off-season or go full blown nuclear with youth. Either way changes are coming.

    I think they could put beat the Twins but get absolutely dumpstered by any of the other teams ahead of them because they don’t hit.
