  1. Espinal is not the player he was when he accumulated that WAR. You have to stop with that s***. That Espinal doesn't exist anymore. His skillset completely fell off a cliff.
  2. Sometimes you gotta look beyond the paper numbers and look at all the underlying things they are doing exceptionally well like hitting the Baseball very hard, the quality of their plate appearances. Those numbers are a great source of projection but young players are continuously getting better and take huge steps sometimes those steps come at the next level. There's stars in the big leagues right now that have been MLB numbers than minor league numbers. I just don't think you can put stock in their AAA numbers alone. They have both had peaks and valleys. Would like to see them get a look this year. They are going to be big part of next years teams and future.
  3. He's basically become an innings eater for them this year. He lost all his talent but since he has a huge contract they just employee him to eat innings while they rebuild.
  4. It's marginable at best. Espinal can't move and can't hit. He's not better than Biggio.
  5. Biggio is steady defensively. He's athletic runs well, has a good eye. The only place he shouldn't play is 3B because of his arm strength but he's more than fine at Second Base. He makes all the plays. And he can play a corner OF fine. He made one bad play in Cincinnati and the board imploded on him. He's a quality extra player. With that being said do I feel he should be playing over O-Mart and Barger no. But he should be playing over Espinal and McCoy who are currently here.
  6. Always felt gambling should be treated the same as smoking. It shouldn't be illegal but it shouldn't be marketed or recommended or celebrated in anyway. I have seen people destroy their lives gambling and these gambling websites and phone apps make ruining your life that much easier.
  7. Biggio brings substantially more to the Baseball diamond than Espinal does. In all aspects of the game.
  8. If I'm O-Mart and Barger I'm knocking on some skulls in AAA wondering why the likes of Espinal and McCoy are being employed over me for a team that has playoff aspirations. Make it make sense.
  9. Someones having flashbacks to high school when he got bullied.
  10. 30 August (3:07pm) Vladdy - 1 Point - Springer - 2 Points - JaysAllMighty Schneider - 3 Points - Jonn Merrifield - 3 Points - Varsho - 3 Points - Kirk - 5 Points - Biggio - 5 Points - Espinal - 8 Points - Clement - 8 Points - Off the bench: 10 Points -
  11. It wouldn't be a Blue Jays game if they didn't completely s*** the bed in the biggest moments.
  12. You got your Superstar up with the bases loaded in the 9th. Couldn't ask for anything more.
  13. Bader crushes lefties. Please. Lopez and Moore would also be lovely.
  14. Davis can’t do it all himself but he’s certainly trying.
  15. Maybe the Jays have some big brain strat that they don't want to call up Martinez yet and waste his rookie eligibility so he can start the Season on the roster next year and get us a first round pick for winning Rookie of the Year!
  16. August 29 (7:07pm) Vladdy - 1 Point - Springer - 2 Points - Schneider - 3 Points - wilko Jansen - 3 Points - Merrifield - 3 Points - Kirk - 5 Points - JaysAllMighty Kiermaier - 7 Points - Espinal - 8 Points - Clement - 8 Points - Jonn Off the bench: 10 Points -
  17. He got 3 hits in his Giants debut. And has went 0-16 since.
  18. I can agree with this. Trading your #1 prospect you would hope you’re getting more of an established star. Varsho had control, great defense, good base running, and upside for more power but he was still a flawed and inconsistent player. With that being said he will settle into CF next Season and be a solid contributor for atleast the next 3 Seasons. 2.5-3 WAR player. Moreno upside is much higher but I think his floor is probably lower if he doesn’t hit for power. It just wasn’t a very sexy move.
  19. I don’t want the Jays to lose. I wouldn’t even be posting here if I didn’t care about their success. I question if this team can be successful. I can question that and still be a fan. I would love to eat my words. I would love to be wrong. I’m not going to pretend I like how things are going. I’m just not going to do that. I’m not saying Martinez or Barger or anyone else is going to hit the ground running or be better even. But we know what certain players on this roster are at this point. Specifically Espinal and the amount of the PA’s and defensive innings he’s getting is becoming a problem. I have often defended Biggio here but I question his usage as well. It’s September Friday. We kinda can’t keep waiting. Davis has sparked the team lets see who else can.
  20. I honestly don’t expect a lot of people to agree. I know it’s unpopular opinion but at some point these decisions have to be made. This group is going to get expensive. You have to identify if its the group that can do the job for the money they will be paid. We don’t want to be stuck in the middle with an expensive roster. You also have to factor in players egos where control isn’t everything anymore. Players dictate more about where they go more than ever. Gausman could turn around this off-season and ask for a trade and all of a sudden everything changes. He’s already blown up in the media once. You don’t think if September goes well that could potentially ger worse. This team had expectations of winning the division and now they couldn’t even hold onto Wild Card 3. You have to look at things from all angles. The vibes in that clubhouse aren’t great. Were 5 months into we’ll just wait until they start hitting.
  21. You understand the term “low key” right. I don’t actually want them to lose or cheer against them. Think of it more of putting the group out of its misery and ensuring changes. I highly question the roster decisions and its hard to just blindly support it. Scheneider despite his success struggling to get into the lineup. People were calling me an idiot just a month ago for going on rants on why he should be even promoted in the first place. But more than that it’s continued decision to roster Espinal when theirs young options absolutely thriving in the Minors. Most of whom are already on the 40-man. Its a lot of the little things that have made this Season very not enjoyable. Sorry if that’s negative? Like I’m just calling it as I see it. This organization make’s some really f***ing dumb decisions that shoots them in the foot. 2021 to this day is very heart breaking for me and I’m sure many others. I’m not asking for perfection. Just do the little f***ing things to give yourself the best chance to be successful. I don’t feel they do that often enough.
  22. You make good points and I certainly understand the view point. And seemingly if you sneak in anything can happen. The Jays are right there… but I question if it’s enough and I also question the decision to build around Bo and Vlad. Everything hinged on them being Stars. Bo mostly has been one although he’s been up and down despite getting his hits. Vlad outside of his outlier 21 has been slightly above average bat for his career so far. But his defense has absolutely cratered this Season. Not saying he wasn’t a bad one last year but he’s been unplayable bad this year. I think it’s important for franchises to recognize when a group of players might be good but not good enough to ever win anything. Even if you have to take a step back. It’s better to do that than going all in on a good but not great team and falling short time and time again. I really don’t want to see this franchise crater to the bottom of the Standings if and when this all blows up. Missing the playoffs would be an absolute disaster for this group but it looks like they will at this point. As I said in previous post I love the Blue Jays. I don’t love this roster. And in my opinion I don’t feel they can do it. People are gonna be upset about that. They are going to say it’s negative and ********. But I’m entitled to that opinion. And on message board express that opinion. And you are much open to disagree and debunk my opinion. I think we can do that without calling someone dumb or a piece of s***. Or toxic… just my thoughts. Enjoy being here and debating. Maybe I just like playing Devils Advocate more than others and that’s fine.
  23. It’s really not my fault you’re an angry person. There’s a few people here that just get so angry over comments and it’s hilarious. I can love the Blue Jays and not like the team. I just don’t think current group of players enjoyable to watch. It kinda sucks waiting around to see if Bo can carry the offense and now its not even Bo its Davis Scheneider. I miss fun. I miss homers. God forbid someone vents frustration without being hostile towards someone else.
  24. The f***... You want them to shoot live ammo in a stadium full of people? What the f*** is wrong with you lol?
