  1. Boy when Bassitt doesn't have it he REALLY doesn't have it.
  2. Not the ideal way to start four games in 3 days.
  3. I'm not opposed to trading Varsho depending on what we get back. I'm just not sure he'll get us what we need anyway so I'd rather just have him.
  4. If the dude is healthy, the dude is healthy, just bring him back. We don't need him helping Buffalo win games we need him helping the Blue Jays win games.
  5. Oh s***, does anyone know if the hex Tampa Bay pitchers have over us wears off once they leave Tampa Bay?
  6. I don't know if anybody hates Bichette, I just think there's a lot of debate over what he's actually worth on a long-term deal.
  7. Either the trade deadline will kill him off or bringing up somebody like Estrada for the four games in 3 days will kill him off. Just a matter of which one and when.
  8. Come on boys, a home run here puts the pressure on lol
  9. Imagine if the Blue Jays ever came back within an 11-run inning after everything Detroit's been through lately. They probably just canceled their season at that point.
  10. I'll be honest I had no idea it had to be an 8 run deficit for a position player to pitch.
  11. If you had offered me 8-2 coming out of the All-Star break, I'd have taken that in a heartbeat. On to Baltimore to play the ugly birds.
  12. Goodbye Chad, good luck in your future endeavors.
  13. Of course the two pitchers we lose to in this stretch of 10 games full of studs are Shitlicker and Flaherty. I sincerely hope with the trade deadline upon us that this is the last time we see Chad Green.
  14. Max obviously comfortable pitching on that Detroit mound. Just too many white boys on this team that don't like playing under the sun.
  15. I don't know if it was worth Straw for Loperfido here.
  16. 21-23 in day games. Ninth worst in the league. Looks like we have some vampires on this team.
  17. Max has pitched well overall, but the home run rate has been a problem.
  18. We're very lucky to have a guy like Heineman to replace Kirk for the next while. Let's just hope this is nothing that lingers for Alejandro. Concussions can be a complete bitch.
  19. By the second and third time through the lineup they were starting to get better at bats against Skubby Doo. If we do have to go through them in the postseason, it's good to have this one game to have actually seen him. Until yesterday he was a mythological creature that we've only heard about for the past couple years but haven't faced. Now they know what it looks like to stand in the box against him and they know they can get to him.
  20. If we trade Schneider, we create a brand new hole to fill.
  21. I didn't get your point about how the equation has changed. Even if they weren't leading the division, as long as they decided they were a buyer, I think we always knew what we needed at the deadline. The only thing that might have changed the equation a bit is the injury situation.
  22. I don't think anything has changed. The division is not locked up with 2 months left, but regardless it's all about the playoffs. We need what we have needed for weeks, frontline starter and a couple of really good relievers, preferably one lefty and hopefully one elite wipeout guy. If a frontline starter can't be had, we really double down on getting elite relievers to shorten games.
