  1. I've been saying for a while that pray for Manoah might end up being a big part of the plan.
  2. Injuries are catching up. Baltimore has a good lineup, since their terrible start haven't they been a couple games over .500? We have to score runs to beat this team and our lineup is getting weaker by the day. We're in a very tough spot at the moment.
  3. So already no Kirk, I'm guessing no Springer at least for today and maybe more. Heiny will certainly split the games. Going to be a couple of ugly lineups.
  4. Maybe I'm just a dinosaur, but I pretty much hate the world and everyone in it at this point.
  5. I was kind of hoping for two leverage relievers and a starter.
  6. I think you may be misunderstanding me, I'm not anywhere close to suggesting the pitching had been good enough but in fairness Scherzer was very good yesterday, if we had mounted any sort of offense throughout we would not have put in our white flag pitcher to help put that game out of reach. Green will be gone soon anyway. Today was total systems failure for the pitching, I understand we lost because of the pitching. My point is our offense hasn't been great the last couple of days and in general we're going to need to score runs against Baltimore.
  7. Context is key. We did nothing for eight innings yesterday and then scored off of a scrub. We had plenty of opportunities against pitching that's not very good today. Today wasn't so bad and we got a little unlucky at times but we still should have scored more. Baltimore is going to hit, that part of their team is not broken right now, we're going to have to score runs.
  8. Or death. Death of athletes or people associated with them (gamblers will die but sports leagues don't care about them). Hopefully it doesn't go that far, but it could.
  9. Major League ball players getting involved in this are simply idiots. Especially stars, the payoff is not there. Do they not understand how heavily monitored this s*** is? Sports books don't exist to lose money. Sports gambling isn't going anywhere. As annoying as it is it's only going to increase. Once the dam was broken, the flood waters were going to overwhelm. There are f***ing teams in Vegas now. Right down the street from all the sharks. At the end of the day I have no sympathy for anyone getting caught up in it, make your bed in life and lay in it.
  10. Well that was a game of baseball. Offense hasn't been great the last couple of games, and some poor decision making at times. Bad baseball. Tomorrow's going to be a tough day at the office.
  11. Nance has about two brain cells to rub together apparently.
  12. I fully expected us to give up runs against Baltimore, they have a good lineup, the key was always to make sure to score runs off of their pitching. Little has stunk today though. Him and Bassitt have combined to f*** us. At least there's no bottom of the ninth to worry about. Always better to get beat up on the road then at home for that reason.
  13. Against the righties in particular would Clement not be like the worst hitter in our lineup? He shouldn't be batting 6th.
  14. Boy when Bassitt doesn't have it he REALLY doesn't have it.
  15. Not the ideal way to start four games in 3 days.
  16. I'm not opposed to trading Varsho depending on what we get back. I'm just not sure he'll get us what we need anyway so I'd rather just have him.
  17. If the dude is healthy, the dude is healthy, just bring him back. We don't need him helping Buffalo win games we need him helping the Blue Jays win games.
  18. Oh s***, does anyone know if the hex Tampa Bay pitchers have over us wears off once they leave Tampa Bay?
  19. I don't know if anybody hates Bichette, I just think there's a lot of debate over what he's actually worth on a long-term deal.
  20. Either the trade deadline will kill him off or bringing up somebody like Estrada for the four games in 3 days will kill him off. Just a matter of which one and when.
  21. Come on boys, a home run here puts the pressure on lol
  22. Imagine if the Blue Jays ever came back within an 11-run inning after everything Detroit's been through lately. They probably just canceled their season at that point.
