  1. Tigers will advance despite themselves. Ultimately, Cleveland in September was just a large, bumpy detour for them.
  2. Lol Tigers
  3. Man that is some heavy lifting that bullpen is going to have to do.
  4. Yu having issues.
  5. Pitching a guy 3 days in a row after he had thrown 20 pitches the previous two games. I know it's playoff baseball but to ask guys to do things they almost never do after a 162 game grind. They're not superheroes.
  6. Batting practice.
  7. That may be lights out.
  8. Nice of you to pass through the playoffs Cincy. See you around.
  9. Yes, playoffs is real baseball.
  10. Poor Bobby. All he wanted to do was enjoy that Blue Comet train set.
  11. I never suggested Dante was talking to the Blue Jays medical staff. You just made that up.
  12. It's my opinion man. I don't think it's particularly f***ed up. But to each their own.
  13. How dare you disrespect the Flu?! He's our Crochet!
  14. If my last name was Rice, I wouldn't name my son after Uncle Ben.
  15. I remember when Adrian Beltre played through a bad back in the ALDS, even continued to play the field in obvious discomfort. Also was playing with a torn thumb ligament. That's my type of guy. Ernie playing with a broken bone too. My dude right there. If this injury was bad enough to cause real instability in his knee, I don't think he would be day to day. I think his season would be done. It would be malpractice otherwise. I think he's dealing with pain and discomfort mostly. I also don't think I'm off base to suggest that pending free agency is a factor. I think it's unrealistic to expect that this doesn't play a role. I think having a father who's a former big leaguer also plays a role in him putting himself first.
  16. I remember when the Dodgers basically killed Brandon Morrow by making him pitch every game of the World Series.
  17. I have to admit I did find myself rooting for the Red Sox for the same reason. I wasn't intending to, but I naturally reacted to the game as somebody rooting for the Red Sox I hate the Red Sox, but I just f***ing loathe the Yankees.
  18. And here I thought my username had innuendo 😂
  19. Pitch count by Cade is a problem considering he threw 19 yesterday. He may be unavailable tomorrow. I know it's the playoffs, but that'll be pushing it
  20. Tigers were probably thrilled to avoid the 1 vs 2 wildcard playoff series. Probably looking forward to revenge against the Guardians. This would be a kick to the nuts squared by the Guardians this season if the Guardians win the series.
  21. Guardians powering up!
  22. Fozzie Bear over here.
  23. The alternative is that you give him a lane to the plate. Any play that involves a tag on top of the base has a chance that a part of the guy's body will slip in under the tag. If he doesn't move his body there he's forced to reach, the moment you reach it decreases the chances of making the out. But because he had enough time to slide, block and throw his glove out in front, he did. If you want to argue that having the armour on makes catchers a little braver to do this type of thing, yeah I'll give you that. I'm still okay with it though, as long as the defensive player has the ball I think they should have the right to go wherever they want with it, as long as you lead with the glove. I would not be in favour of the catcher leaning in with a shoulder and then with the glove or something stupid like that.
  24. When we were competing with the Tigers for the best record I said at the time I don't really understand how the Tigers are so good. They have the best pitcher, but on the whole I found the team mostly uninspiring. Not that I find Cleveland a whole lot to write home about, but to me the Tigers never belonged in the conversation with every other contender in the American League.
  25. I thought they might beat Crochet at home, but I failed to factor in the manager is a bit of a dumbass.
