  1. I still like our chances to win the East. We still have the advantage. Tomorrow is the key, gotta win that game. The series against Tampa sets up decently for us. The offense cannot stay dormant forever.
  2. Can't read too much into tonight's game specifically, Crochet is dominant. This team has to show up for the final four games. The final four can be had.
  3. I've been saying that since 2 years before they signed it.
  4. So, if we have to use Bieber, Yesavage and Gausman in the next series, does Berrios go from banishment to game one starter? Because this lines him up for that day. But then again you are exposing him to the Red Sox just days before they might see him again. Or do they feel better with Lauer to make that start. Could you imagine if Berrios or Lauer is our game one playoffs starter? Lol
  5. That's what happens when you prioritize short-term financial gain over long term building.
  6. A lot of the second generation players listen to their fathers, max out the money don't be loyal to organizations. That's how Vladdy bent this organization over an expensive wooden table at Rogers' headquarters.
  7. Give Scherzer credit, he gave us some innings after it looked like it was all going Kansas City in the first inning.
  8. What I mean is, I don't think they're treating this as a must-win game, or at least I wouldn't, they obviously want to win this game, they would like to beat the odds but they have to be prudent. Out of the remaining five games this one is your worst chance to win statistically speaking, so you push more of your pieces into the next four, you hope to beat the odds in this one, but if it starts off poorly, you hold back some of your better chips, you don't go all in to save this game is what I'm saying. You push more of your chips into the next four and you take your chances there. If you manage to win this game anyhow, great, if you don't, you've done the best you can to line up your next four knowing that you still have the advantage over the Yankees.
  9. You have to be realistic about what's in front of you, they don't have a realistic option against Crochet for the game tonight so you try to win the next four, you're thinking emotionally and not rationally. What gives you the best chance to win the division? Throwing everything into this game would not give you the best chance. If they threw everything into this game they would have already brought in their bullpen.
  10. I think the Blue Jays realistically conceded this game and the division as a tie tonight. Scherzer was not beating Crochet in any universe. Sometimes you have to sacrifice The Rook to win the King. It's about the next four games.
  11. You really need to stop discounting the Boston Red Sox as a bad team.
  12. Don't worry, it's not like Crochet is Jesus Christ. We got this bro👊🏻
  13. Berrios is like, "You pulled me for this motherf***er?"
  14. While it's been a bad week for the Blue Jays, I can't even begin to fathom what Tigers fans must be feeling. Holy cow. Skubal might have literally thrown their season away with that dumbass play. The f*** was he doing? Cleveland is incredible man, to be doing this given the talent they lost during the season, especially with the offense they don't have. If you wrote this script for a movie it would be considered too corny to believe.
  15. To the f***ing face man, not even off the helmet, straight to the f***ing face. It goes without saying there's no good place to be hit in the face. I don't know how managed to get up and look like he was doing reasonably well for a man whose face has just been rearranged.
  16. That team has bigger concerns than Soto getting 40 steals.
  17. You're such a clown man. You only wish lool I knew that's what you thought because you're a f***ing idiot who probably reacts that way yourself. Stop projecting. Only psychotic Fanboys freak out like that, I know your type. It's not good for your blood pressure, you need to reel that in.
  18. I think some people here get the idea that some of us are nervously pulling our hair out while on our knees in front of the TV watching the Blue Jays with sweat pouring down our face. Well maybe some people are lol As someone who's been watching sports for almost 40 years, I'd have been dead a long time ago if this was me. I'm calmly sitting down in my most comfortable chair watching it all unfold, for better or worse, and 99% of your favourite team sports' seasons will end for the worst, while sipping on my favorite beverage.
  19. It doesn't really matter how people react on a message board or in real life, we have no influence over anything that happens on the field tomorrow. The Blue Jays are the ones that need to be productive. Of course anything can happen, but it's fair to be concerned about tomorrow's game and the fact that we could end up tied in the standings by the end of it. If you had $100 to lay down tomorrow would you bet that we finish the day with that one game lead or with the same record as the Yankees? Be honest.
  20. That's a bit of a silly thing to say. Of course nothing is 100% guaranteed, that's why they play the games. But it doesn't take the second coming of Christ, the guy's an ace, possible Cy Young, our hitting looks like garbage and Max Scherzer has been absolutely balls. Doesn't take walking on water see that the odds are not good for tomorrow's game.
  21. The schedule is absolutely not in our favour. There's an exceedingly good chance that we'll be tied in the standings by the end of tomorrow given the pitching matchup. Sure anything can happen but quality of competition does make a difference.
