  1. Orioles getting their bellies scratched.
  2. Yeah given the way our offense has been going lately we can't really afford to go down "just a few" runs to the Rays. There's no such thing as "just a few" when you've sucked as bad as we have lately. We're not the Yankees we can't score at will.
  3. Well he threw a lot of pitches and wasn't particularly great yesterday. So of course they put him out there with first place on the line and no backup plan apparently.
  4. Calm down. It's only been 160 games folks. Jays still need more evidence when it comes to Hoffman.
  5. I mean, they did make the World Series so...
  6. Can we have this umpire for every Hoffman outing?
  7. I understand the Seattle argument but for me Yankees have that experience. I think there's value in that.
  8. If they hadn't shot themselves in the foot so much this season they would have easily won the division. They are the best team in the American League and the most dangerous one but you're not allowed to have that opinion on this board.
  9. Dude's been nails for the majority of the season. I like him.
  10. For a guy that does absolutely nothing, literally absolutely nothing but occasionally running into a pitch, you would think at least he can bust his ass out of the box. That was a slow roller, you put a bit of pressure on the defense they might flub it.
  11. I don't recall anything being wrong with Santander's legs so is there a reason why he doesn't give a f*** running out of the box?
  12. You know there are...other ways, of watching this game.
  13. Here's hoping they shut down Yandy Diaz for the season with the groin injury. I knew the previous series would be a nightmare, there's no way the Yankees were losing to the White Sox at Yankees stadium, so I was just hoping to survive those three games still in first, now that we did, it sets up a little bit better for us than it does the Yankees. Still got to play the games and get it done on the field.
  14. At no point did I feel we had anything confident beyond Kevin and Shane. Berrios was at the bottom of the list, Scherzer was too much of a home run risk. Bassitt was up and down and his road numbers are terrible. There was never a clear number three for the playoffs. There still isn't. If we end up in the wild card. Assuming Gausman pitches 162, I think games two and three would feature bullpen games with a lot of Lauer and Yesavage in each. If we make the DS and beyond, you get Bassitt back as your 4, but the bullpen game may still be your number 3. The bottom line is I think bullpen game might be our number 3 throughout the playoffs.
  15. Bring in Davis Schneider. You need the offense more than the defense and you still have Straw on the bench to play defense.
  16. Tremendous job by the bullpen. Rodriguez needs to keep it going. We'll squeak one or two out eventually.
  17. We've had a lot of luck go our way this year. The baseball gods are making up for it in one week. I think we're even now. The worm is about to turn.
  18. Earn your keep Santander. Your season starts now.
  19. I had a good feeling about Varland today. I never have a good feeling about Vladdy.
  20. Didn't Schneider and the trainer start coming to the mound while he was pitching yesterday and he sent them back? Or did I imagine that? Yesterday is a bit of a blur for me.
