  1. The point, obviously, is that ultimately he is part of a team that missed the postseason, and that should be more valuable to him than individual success. So he still loses and the blue jays still win.
  2. The worst part of this time of year is all the worthless preseason hockey and hockey fluff pieces I have to hear about and see everywhere.
  3. I mean, that's all true and stuff, and yeah anyone with half a brain saw these two starts coming, but they're still going home while the blue jays are still likely going to the postseason. So...
  4. Could you imagine what will happen if they lose to that weaver guy? Nuclear meltdown mode.
  5. No but I would like one for calling out this team's pathetic offense at the beginning of the season as well as calling out the fact that this team was likely contending for a wild card spot when most people here were infected with Atkinitis and thought they were an actual division contender and legitimate world series threat. Apparently that infection is still going around. I wish there were vaccine but Spanky wouldn't take it anyway.
  6. Nah, it only hurts if you think the team has a realistic chance to win. It hurts with the Leafs because they have significant frontline talent. With the blue jays it's more of an inevitability.
  7. Oh you're one of those, that explains a lot.
  8. Oh no I saw this one coming from a mile away, last night too.
  9. Never said to plant one in his head, but in the middle of the back, just so he's not completely comfortable next year.
  10. Oftenwrong is back. Nice to see you around, just in time to watch our offense getting embarrassed yet again.
  11. Plant one into Judge's back please. Show some balls it would be nice.
  12. Was there any doubt? When he saw that his last two starts of the season were against the Blue Jays he probably came all over himself.
  13. f*** Yankee fans I don't need to see them on my screen. Judge is a good dude though
  14. Deck chairs on the Titanic man. This offense is sunk no matter how you arrange them. Hillenbrand 3:16
  15. Many of the geniuses on this board think that the front office has done a great job. That this team that you see before you, is a world series caliber team. Keep in mind there have been no major injuries, no suspensions of woman beaters or teenaged ass chasers. THIS is the team they intended and they think it's great.
  16. He just doesn't miss pitches in the middle. The contrast between him and Vladdy is staggering.
  17. Tampa won't have anything to play for, so our saving grace is that we will get a soft Tampa team but unfortunately a soft Tampa team is still enough to give a A blue jays team trouble. We will likely make it, one win might be enough, and we might win tomorrow. I think we manage to get at least one of those Tampa games so we're still in great shape.
  18. This is the point I've made about our starting pitching that gets people mad. I say our starting pitching beyond Gausman is not good enough for our offense, which is not a criticism, but guys like Berrios and Kikuchi and Bassitt will often give up two to four runs against decent teams. It's not a killer amount of runs but the problem is our offense is so bad against any sort of good pitching that it's enough to bury us. Our starters are not good enough to carry this offense in this offense is not good enough to carry good pitching. It needs to be damn near elite pitching for us to have a chance.
  19. Well that's very snobby of her, maybe she would have been happier had she not always aimed for these big time celebrities. She might have had children and a family just like she always wanted, but she had to go with the big stars and the big stars are usually bad boyfriends. I think you would have treated Jennifer Aniston very well. She would have been very happy today.
  20. Did you expect us to score much against the King or Cole? Gausman gave us a shot yesterday but our pitching had to be perfect. This is the offense people think could win games in the postseason against mostly very good pitching. 150 games in and people still think something's going to change.
  21. Is that back when you had a fling with Jennifer Aniston?
  22. I do appreciate Berrios giving up that walk first...
  23. With the infield in he would not have scored on that. Someone's got to hit a home run or the Yankees have to f*** up in some way for the Blue Jays to score.
  24. No worries, angels have won the game! That's a nice break, hopefully they got another one in them.
  25. Okay I'm going to try to be really nice here. I don't protect myself from disappointment, I've been watching sports for a long time dude, I'm not one of those guys who bets against my team so that I'm happy either way. I'm not one of those idiots, you're trying to peg me a certain way and you don't know me and you're wrong. I've made my point about the pitching relative to the offense. If you want to discuss this point I'm happy to have a civilized discussion with you, I'm only uncivilized to people if they come after me first. If the opinions of a message board make this less fun for you, that probably says something about your state of mind. I'm actually really enjoying this playoff drive, I'd much rather be in a playoff drive with a chance to make the playoffs than not, obviously. But I'm honest about my opinion, I'm honest about what I think of my team, I'm honest about the fact that we're not in the playoffs yet and I'll celebrate when we get there. Okay, friend!
